How to find your hackathon on HackathonRadar, tell us about a missing event, fix wrong details and check your listing with the free quality checker
In most cases you do not need to submit your hackathon. Events listed on the platforms we cover appear here, refreshed daily. This page covers what to do when your event is missing or wrong, and how to check the quality of your listing.
Find your event
Search for your event's name on /database. The default view shows events in the next 7 days. On a paid plan, switch the view to see later events.
Your event is missing
Tell us through the contact form. Choose General enquiry under What can we help with?, then paste your event's URL into the message.
Fix wrong details on a listing
If your listing has the wrong dates, location, prizes or organizer, send the listing URL and the correct details through the contact form with General enquiry selected.
If the details are also wrong on the platform the event is listed on, correct them there too. Otherwise the next daily refresh brings the old details back.
Check your listing with the quality checker
/tools/hackathon-quality-checker scores a hackathon page out of 100 and tells you what to improve. Paste your event's URL into Hackathon URL and click Check my hackathon. Any public event page works: a page on the platform you host on, or your own site.
You can fill in the form without an account. Seeing results needs a free account, and you get three checks per day.
What the result shows
| Section | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Listing quality score | Your score out of 100. If we could only read a little of the page, the headline number is withheld and the breakdown is marked as partial |
| Score breakdown | How your listing does across the areas sponsors and participants look at |
| How to improve this listing | The gaps, each phrased as a fix and ranked Biggest win, Worth doing or Quick win |
| At a glance | The event, its start date and your rank, for example "Top 20%", against comparable events |
Typical fixes are naming the organizing team, listing your sponsors, publishing your dates early, stating the prize pool, publishing judging criteria and a schedule, adding a registration link and publishing a code of conduct.
The score measures how well the event is presented on its page, not whether the event itself will be good. If we already list your event, the result also links to feature your hackathon.
