• Slash-command search

  Anyone can run /hackathons to browse or /hackathon <name> to find a specific event, right in chat.

• Bookmark & remind

  Tap 🔖 to save a hackathon or ⏰ to get a DM before it starts. No sign-up, no account linking.

• Admin controls

  Manage subscriptions with /subscribe, /unsubscribe and /subscriptions. Limited to members with Manage Server.

Subscribe filters

Run /subscribe in a channel. Pick a topic, a country and/or a format (start typing and choose from the list) and combine them. Each is optional.

• /subscribe

  No options: every hackathon, live now or starting within 7 days.

• /subscribe category:AI

  A topic. Start typing and pick from the list (AI, Blockchain, Web, Gaming, Fintech, and more).

• /subscribe format:Online

  Online, in-person or hybrid events.

• /subscribe country:Germany

  Only hackathons held in that country. Start typing to pick.

• /subscribe category:AI country:Germany

  Combine any of them — this posts only AI hackathons in Germany.

Is the Hackathon Radar Discord bot free?

Yes. Adding the bot and every command is free. Free plans see hackathons that are live now or starting within the next 7 days.

How do I add the bot to my server?

Click “Add to your server”, authorize it (you need the Manage Server permission), then run /subscribe in any channel to start receiving hackathons.

Does the bot read my server's messages?

No. It only receives the slash commands and button clicks people explicitly send to it. It does not read general message content or build profiles.

Which hackathons does it post?

Hackathons that are live now or starting within 7 days, matched to each channel's subscribed category. Use /subscribe with a category, or no category for everything.

Can members get reminders?

Yes. Each posted hackathon has Bookmark and Remind buttons — Remind sends the member a DM before the event starts. No account linking required.
