About this hackathon

WebChamp 2026 is an online web development competition designed to encourage creativity, innovation, and technical excellence in website design and development. Participants are required to design and develop a fully functional website based on the competition theme and submit their work for evaluation by the judging panel. Eligibility Open to university students, school students, and independent learners. Participants may compete individually or as a team. Team size: 1–4 members. Inter-college teams are allowed. Inter-specialization teams are allowed. Participants may submit only one project/team entry. Competition Format Round 1 – Registration Participants must register through the official registration platform. Teams must provide accurate member details. Round 2 – Development & Submission Participants will design and develop a website based on the competition theme. Projects can be developed using any web technologies, frameworks, or platforms. Participants must submit: A ZIP file of the project, or A hosted/live website link. A GitHub repository link is highly recommended. All submissions must be made before the submission deadline. Round 3 – Evaluation Projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges. Judges may access the live website or review the submitted source code. Final results will be announced on the official WebChamp channels. Judging Criteria Projects will be evaluated based on: Creativity and Innovation User Interface (UI) Design User Experience (UX) Functionality and Features Responsiveness and Accessibility Code Quality and Best Practices Performance and Optimization Overall Impact and Presentation Submission Requirements Website must be fully functional. All links and features should work properly. Hosted links must remain accessible during the judging period. Participants must own or have permission to use all assets included in the project. AI tools may be used as development aids, but participants must understand and be able to explain their implementation. Rules All submitted work must be original. Plagiarism or direct copying of existing projects is strictly prohibited. Participants must comply with all deadlines. Offensive, illegal, or inappropriate content will result in immediate disqualification. The organizing committee reserves the right to disqualify submissions that violate competition rules. Judges' decisions are final and cannot be appealed. By participating, contestants grant the organizers permission to showcase submitted projects for promotional and educational purposes. Participants are responsible for maintaining access to their hosted projects throughout the judging period. Communication All official announcements, updates, and competition-related information will be shared through the WebChamp WhatsApp Community and official communication channels. Certificates & Awards Winners will receive certificates and recognition. Participation certificates will be awarded to eligible participants who successfully complete the competition requirements.
