Vibeathon – Build with AI
Theme: Think Smart. Prompt Better. Build Faster.
1. About the Event
VibeThon – Build with AI is an AI-powered software development competition where participants use AI coding tools and effective prompt engineering to build functional software prototypes.
The event focuses on problem-solving, rapid development, AI integration, functional implementation, testing, and understanding AI-generated code. Participants will transform their ideas into working prototypes while demonstrating their ability to guide AI tools, evaluate generated outputs, identify limitations, and explain their technical decisions.
The objective is to encourage innovation, practical software development, responsible AI usage, and rapid prototyping.
2. Eligibility and Team Guidelines
Participation is allowed in teams of a maximum of two students.
Participants may use AI coding assistants and other permitted AI development tools.
Each team must develop its solution during the competition.
Pre-built projects must not be submitted as original work.
Participants must ensure that their prototype addresses the assigned problem or project requirements.
All teams must follow the instructions and guidelines provided by the organizers.
Event Format
Prototype Development
Teams will develop a working software prototype using their programming skills, AI tools, and prompt-engineering techniques.
Participants must implement the mandatory features specified by the organizers.
Teams should focus on functionality, usability, reliability, and effective problem-solving.
Participants must test their applications and prepare them for demonstration.
Testing and Evaluation
Teams must demonstrate their working prototypes to the judges.
Judges may ask participants to explain their code, test specific functionality, or modify part of the implementation.
Participants should be able to explain how AI tools were used and demonstrate their understanding of the generated code.
Teams must disclose significant limitations of their applications.
The organizers will communicate the problem statement, mandatory features, competition duration, and submission requirements before the competition begins.
Competition Rules and Regulations
Each team may consist of a maximum of two students.
AI coding tools are permitted for development and problem-solving.
Participants must build their solutions during the competition.
Pre-built projects cannot be presented as original work developed during the event.
Every team must demonstrate all mandatory features specified by the organizers.
Judges may ask teams to explain, test, debug, or modify portions of their code.
Teams must use sample or synthetic data for development and demonstrations.
Confidential or personal information must not be uploaded to public AI tools.
Participants must test their applications before the final demonstration.
Teams must disclose major limitations, incomplete features, or known issues in their applications.
Participants must maintain fair play and follow the organizers' instructions.
Any misconduct, misrepresentation, or violation of the rules may lead to disqualification.
