About this hackathon

Overview The Singularity is a National-Level Artificial Intelligence Hackathon that is a software-focused competition designed to provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate their technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, innovation, and software development skills in the field of Artificial Intelligence. The hackathon will be conducted in two rounds. The first round will involve profile-based screening of registered teams. Shortlisted teams will advance to the offline final round, where they will be presented with AI-focused problem statements revealed during the event. Eligibility The hackathon is open to students from colleges and educational institutions across India. All participants must register through Unstop. Each team must consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 members. Inter-college teams are permitted. Inter-branch and inter-specialization teams are permitted. Team members may belong to different academic disciplines, branches, or specializations. Each participant may register as a member of only one team. All participants must provide accurate and valid information during registration. Shortlisted teams must comply with all requirements and instructions communicated by the organizing committee. Theme and Format Theme: Artificial Intelligence Format: Software Hackathon Hardware: The hackathon is strictly software-based; hardware-based solutions are not required. Tracks The final round will cover the following AI-focused domains: AI for Coastal Intelligence AI for Supply Chain Intelligence AI for Industrial Intelligence Teams will be presented with a specific problem statement within one of these domains at the beginning of the offline hackathon. Teams will be required to design, develop, and demonstrate a functional software solution within the specified hackathon duration. Registration and Participation Fee Round 1 Registration Fee: Free Round 2 Final Round Fee: ₹650 per shortlisted team The ₹650 fee is applicable per team and not per participant. The final-round participation fee includes: Accommodation during the hackathon Food during the event Travel expenses are not included and must be borne by the participants. Registration and official communication regarding the hackathon will be conducted through Unstop and the official communication channels of the organizing committee. Team Rules Each team must consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 members. Inter-college teams are allowed. Inter-branch and inter-specialization teams are allowed. A participant cannot be a member of more than one team. All team members must provide accurate and verifiable information. Any change in team composition after shortlisting requires prior approval from the organizing committee. Only shortlisted teams that complete the required final-round registration process will be eligible to participate in the offline hackathon. All team members must report to the designated venue within the specified reporting time. Participants must carry a valid college/student identification document for verification. Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements and covering their travel expenses. Teams must comply with all instructions and guidelines issued by the organizing committee. Hackathon Rules The hackathon is strictly software-based and focuses on the theme of Artificial Intelligence. Hardware-based submissions are not permitted under any circumstances. Problem statements or tracks will be disclosed at the beginning of the offline round. Teams must develop their solutions within the specified hackathon duration. Each team must submit and demonstrate its own solution. Plagiarism, impersonation, unauthorized copying, or submission of another team's work will result in immediate disqualification. Teams may use existing libraries, frameworks, APIs, open-source tools, and publicly available resources, subject to the guidelines provided during the event. Previously developed projects must not be submitted as a complete solution to the assigned problem statement. Any external datasets, APIs, models, libraries, or other resources used in a project must be appropriately acknowledged wherever required. Teams must ensure that their submissions comply with applicable intellectual property, licensing, and usage requirements. Any attempt to manipulate the evaluation process, misrepresent information, or violate the hackathon rules may result in disqualification. Participants must maintain professional conduct and follow the instructions of the organizing committee, mentors, and judges throughout the event. The decision of the judging panel and organizing committee will be final and binding. The organizing committee reserves the right to modify the schedule, rules, format, or other event-related details if circumstances require. Any significant changes will be communicated through the official communication channels. By registering for and participating in the National-Level Artificial Intelligence Hackathon, all participants acknowledge and agree to comply with the rules, guidelines, requirements, and decisions of the organizing committee and judging panel.
