Description
The Quantum Magnetometry Challenge is an online individual analytical competition based on simulated quantum-magnetometer data. Participants will analyze extremely weak magnetic-field variations, identify meaningful patterns in the measurements, and determine the likely source or signature associated with the observed variation.
Participants must process the provided data, apply suitable analytical techniques, and submit the required results along with supporting analysis, code, plots or parameter estimates as specified by the organizers.
Submissions will be evaluated using the published criteria. Qualifying participants may be shortlisted for the offline phase based on the announced selection threshold and verification process.
Duration
Total Duration: 90–120 minutes

1. Eligibility
Participation is individual.
Participants must satisfy the eligibility requirements specified in the official event announcement.
Participants must provide accurate registration information.
Participants must meet any additional requirements specified for consideration for the offline phase.
2. Competition Format
Participants will receive a simulated quantum-magnetometer dataset and an associated problem statement.
The objective is to detect weak magnetic-field variations and determine the likely source or signature of the observed variation.
Participants must submit their analysis and required outputs through the designated platform.
The competition is conducted online.
3. Dataset Usage
Participants must use the dataset and data sources provided or explicitly permitted by the organizers.
Hidden test data or evaluation information must not be accessed.
Participants must not manipulate the evaluation dataset.
External datasets may only be used when explicitly permitted by the competition rules.

Violations may result in disqualification.
9. Technical Verification
Qualifying or unusual submissions may be reviewed to verify:
Correctness of results
Reproducibility
Dataset compliance
Analytical methodology
Use of permitted resources
Absence of hidden-data leakage
Participants may be asked to provide supporting evidence where required.
10. Offline-Phase Selection
Participants will be considered for the offline phase according to the published qualification threshold, advancement criteria and available slots.
Eligibility and technical verification will be completed before the shortlist is confirmed.
