EIC VentureX: Idea to Impact is your shot. Organized by the Entrepreneurship & Incubation Cell (EIC), VentureX is a premier startup pitching competition open to students and working professionals across India. This isn't just a hackathon, it's a launchpad. A room full of the right people, the right energy, and the right opportunities to turn your idea into something real. What Makes VentureX Different? Forget participation trophies and hollow certificates. Venture Capitalists will be present at the Grand Finale, and your pitch could literally change your life. Top 3 winning teams get a curated, invite-only networking lunch with founders and co-founders, worth ₹5,000 per team. Top 2 teams get a dedicated opportunity to pitch directly in front of Venture Capitalists, an experience worth ₹10,000, absolutely free for you. Shortlisted finalists also get exclusive access to our E-Summit, where you network with the startup ecosystem, investors, entrepreneurs, mentors, and innovators all under one roof. This is the room you've been trying to get into, and VentureX opens the door. Who Should Apply? VentureX is for you if you have an idea that solves a real problem, want to experience what a real startup pitch feels like, are ready to be challenged by mentors, judges, and VCs, and want to build your network beyond your campus. Open to undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and working professionals across India. Cross-college teams are welcome, and so are cross-city teams. Competition Structure VentureX runs across three stages. Round 1A is a mandatory online Team Quiz lasting 20 minutes, covering entrepreneurship basics, problem-solving aptitude, and general startup thinking. Every team member must participate individually, and no retakes are allowed. Round 1B is the Online Pitching Round, spread over 2 days. Once registrations close, your team can pick a problem that already excites you or take on one of ours, and go from zero to pitch-ready. Teams must submit a 6 to 7 slide Solution Deck covering the problem, your solution, how it works, market opportunity, business model, and your team, with an optional slide for traction or roadmap. A ready-to-use template will be shared with all registered teams. Submissions are accepted as PDF or PPT only, with a max file size of 20 MB. A short 2–4 minute video pitch is optional but recommended, uploaded to YouTube (unlisted) or Google Drive. Round 2 is the Grand Finale, held in person at PEC, Chandigarh. Only the best teams from Round 1 make it here, and this round is not just another pitching round, it's an on-site hackathon where shortlisted teams take their ideas from concept to a functional product. Teams are expected to build a finished MVP that can be demonstrated during the final pitch, functional enough to show the core value proposition and key working aspects of the solution. You're free to use any tools you're comfortable with, including vibe coding, no-code or low-code tools, and AI-powered development tools. The focus isn't on how you write every line of code, it's on whether you can turn your idea into a functional product. Final deliverables include a finished MVP, a PPT pitch deck, a product demonstration, and any supporting material needed to communicate your solution effectively.
