PROMPT RUN: Prompt. Build. Run. PROMPT RUN is a 6-hour, fully online, individual Web Development Vibe Coding Hackathon focused on modern web technologies, rapid product development, creative problem-solving, and effective use of Vibe Coding workflows. Participants will receive a challenge and must independently transform the given problem statement into a functional, modern web application within the 6-hour hackathon period. This is not a traditional team hackathon. Every participant competes individually, builds their own project, submits it for automated evaluation, and competes on the official leaderboard. Vibe Coding: PROMPT RUN is designed around modern Vibe Coding and rapid development workflows. Participants can use AI-assisted development tools and modern development platforms to accelerate their workflow and transform ideas into working products. Participants may use: AI coding assistants Vibe Coding platforms Modern frontend frameworks Component libraries UI and design systems Animation and interaction libraries APIs and web services Development and debugging tools Other relevant modern web development tools The focus is on how effectively participants can understand the challenge, develop a solution, iterate on their idea, and deliver a functional product within the given time. Modern Technology Requirement: PROMPT RUN is specifically focused on modern web development. Participants are required to use a modern framework, library, or technology stack to build their project. Examples of acceptable technologies include: React Next.js Vue Nuxt Svelte SvelteKit Angular Astro Remix TypeScript-based modern frameworks Modern UI/component libraries Modern CSS frameworks and styling systems Frontend animation and interaction libraries Modern backend and API technologies where required Participants are free to choose the technology stack that best suits their solution. Standalone Technologies Are Not Permitted as the Primary Stack: Raw HTML-only projects Raw CSS-only projects Vanilla JavaScript-only projects Static HTML/CSS/JavaScript websites without a modern framework or technology stack HTML, CSS, and JavaScript may naturally be generated or used internally by modern frameworks, but the project itself must be built using a modern web development stack. Three Submission Chances: Every participant gets 3 submission chances during the hackathon. These three chances allow participants to improve and refine their project during the event. Participants can: Build → Submit → Evaluate → Improve → Resubmit However, there is an important rule: The Latest Submission Is Always Considered: The final score will be calculated from the latest valid submission made by the participant. The highest score among the three submissions will not be automatically retained. Example: Submission 1 — 72 points Submission 2 — 86 points Submission 3 — 79 points The final considered score will be: 79 points because Submission 3 is the latest valid submission. Participants should therefore use their three chances strategically and ensure that their final submission represents their strongest version. FAIE — Automated Evaluation Engine: PROMPT RUN uses FAIE — Frontend Arena Intelligent Evaluation Engine to automatically evaluate submitted projects. FAIE is an automated evaluation engine based on predefined evaluation criteria and technical checks. It is not an AI judge. The same evaluation process is applied to participant submissions according to the defined hackathon evaluation framework. FAIE evaluates multiple aspects of the submitted project, which may include: UI/UX Quality Functionality Performance Code Quality Responsiveness Accessibility Problem Statement Alignment Overall Technical Implementation After evaluation, FAIE generates a score for the submitted project. Live Leaderboard: PROMPT RUN features an official leaderboard where participants can track their current ranking. After a submission is evaluated: Submission → FAIE Evaluation → Score → Leaderboard If a participant submits again, their previous submission is replaced by the latest valid submission for leaderboard purposes. Therefore, the leaderboard always reflects the participant's latest valid evaluated score. The leaderboard will be used to determine the final results of the hackathon. Final Positions: Rank #1 — WINNERRank #2 — RUNNER-UPRank #3 — SECOND RUNNER-UP The final winners will be determined according to the official final leaderboard ranking. How PROMPT RUN Works: 01 — Start: Receive the hackathon challenge and understand the problem statement. 02 — Prompt: Use your preferred Vibe Coding workflow and development tools to plan and build your solution. 03 — Build: Develop a modern web application using an eligible technology stack. 04 — Submit: Submit your working project for automated evaluation. 05 — Evaluate: FAIE automatically evaluates your submission and generates your score. 06 — Improve: Use your remaining submission chances to refine your project. 07 — Climb: Your latest valid score is reflected on the official leaderboard. 08 — Finish: When the submission window closes, the final leaderboard determines the winners. Rules & Guidelines: PROMPT RUN is an individual participation hackathon. Team submissions are not allowed. The total hackathon duration is 6 hours. The event is conducted fully online. The project must be related to web development and must follow the given challenge. Participants must use a modern web development framework, library, or technology stack. Raw HTML-only, CSS-only, or Vanilla JavaScript-only projects are not permitted as the primary project stack. Vibe Coding and AI-assisted development tools are allowed. Participants may use their preferred modern frameworks, libraries, APIs, development tools, and supporting technologies. Participants receive 3 submission chances. Every new valid submission replaces the previous submission for leaderboard purposes. Only the latest valid submission will be considered for the final score. The highest score among the three submissions will not automatically be retained. All submitted projects will be evaluated through FAIE — Frontend Arena Intelligent Evaluation Engine. Participants must ensure that their submitted project is functional and accessible for evaluation. Projects should be developed within the official hackathon duration. Participants may use publicly available documentation, libraries, frameworks, and development resources. Participants must not submit plagiarized or substantially copied projects. Any attempt to manipulate the evaluation engine, leaderboard, submission system, or scoring process may result in disqualification. Participants are responsible for testing their project before making their final submission. Submissions made after the official deadline will not be considered. Participants must comply with all technical and submission requirements specified by the organizers. The final results will be determined according to the official final leaderboard. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify submissions that violate the rules or compromise the integrity of the competition.
