HackWave 3.0 Organised by Echelon Dev Society, Chameli Devi Group of Institutions (CDGI) HackWave 3.0 is CDGI’s annual 36-hour offline hackathon, bringing together student developers, innovators, and tech enthusiasts from across India to build innovative solutions, solve real-world problems, and compete for a total prize pool of ₹1,00,000. Date: 10th – 12th October 2026Venue: Chameli Devi Group of Institutions, IndorePrize Pool: ₹1,00,000Team Size: 3–5 MembersMode: OfflineShortlisted Teams: Top 50 Teams Who Can Participate? Open to college students across India. Teams must consist of 3–5 members. Both inter-college and inter-specialization teams are allowed. All participants must carry a valid college ID. Participants below 18 years of age must provide parental consent. Participants must bring their own laptops, chargers, and other required equipment. Internet access and basic amenities will be provided at the venue. Hackathon Format HackWave 3.0 will be conducted in two rounds. Round 1: Online PPT Submission The first round is completely free. Teams are required to submit a PPT showcasing either: An existing project, or A new project idea The PPT should include: Team Introduction Project/Idea Overview Key Features Tech Stack Screenshots or Demo Link, if available GitHub Profile/Repository LinkedIn Profiles of Team Members The submission will be screened based on the team's technical ability, creativity, and problem-solving approach. After the screening process, the Top 50 teams will be shortlisted for the final round. Round 2: 36-Hour Offline Hackathon The shortlisted teams will participate in the final 36-hour offline hackathon at Chameli Devi Group of Institutions, Indore. How it works: Problem Statements will be revealed at the beginning of the hackathon. Teams will be given the opportunity to select and prioritize their preferred Problem Statements. Based on the selection process, a Problem Statement will be assigned to each team. Teams will then have 36 hours to build their solution from scratch. The final hackathon will be conducted completely offline. Shortlisted teams are required to remain present at the venue for the entire duration of the hackathon. Final Round Registration Fee The Round 1 submission is completely free. Only teams shortlisted for the final round will be required to pay: ₹500 per team The payment will be used to confirm participation in the final offline round. Payment instructions will be shared with the shortlisted teams after the Round 1 screening process. Prize Pool 1st Prize — ₹50,000 2nd Prize — ₹25,000 3rd Prize — ₹15,000 4th Prize — ₹10,000 Total Prize Pool — ₹1,00,000 Rules & Regulations All final submissions must be original work created during the final hackathon. The project submitted during Round 1 is only for screening purposes and cannot simply be reused as the final submission. Teams are allowed to use open-source libraries, tools, frameworks, and APIs. Plagiarism, unauthorized code copying, or submission of someone else's work will result in disqualification. Participants must follow all instructions provided by the organizers, mentors, and judges. Participants are expected to maintain professional conduct throughout the event. The decisions of the organizing team and judges will be final and binding. Why Participate in HackWave 3.0?
