About this hackathon

About the Competition: Game of Codes 3.0 is not just another coding contest—it's a 30-day detective adventure where every algorithm uncovers a clue, every solution brings you closer to the truth, and every participant steps into the shoes of a detective alongside the legendary Sherlock Holmes. Over the course of the event, participants will solve Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) challenges on weekdays, tackle Aptitude Challenges on Saturdays, and use the clues collected throughout the week to solve an exciting Sherlock Holmes mystery. Each week introduces a brand-new case, ensuring fresh stories, new suspects, and unexpected twists throughout the competition. Do you have what it takes to crack the code and crack the case? Event Format: Duration: 30 Days Start Date: 10th August Mode: Online Theme: Sherlock Holmes Weekly Structure: Monday to Friday (and the opening day): Daily DSA Challenge. Saturday: Aptitude Challenge + Mystery Solving Round. Sunday: New Case Begins with fresh suspects, clues, and investigations. Each coding problem contains hidden evidence that contributes to solving the weekly mystery. Pay close attention—not every clue is obvious! Eligibility: Open to all College Students. Individual participation only. Inter-college participation is allowed. Rules & Guidelines: A new challenge will be released every day at the scheduled time. Each challenge will remain open for 24 hours. Problems are designed to gradually increase in difficulty throughout the event. Participants must submit their solutions on the designated platform before the deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted. Mystery Challenge: Every week features a unique Sherlock Holmes case. As you solve the daily coding problems, you'll unlock pieces of evidence such as: Security logs. Witness statements. CCTV records. Encrypted messages. Digital footprints. Confidential documents. Hidden clues. At the end of the week, participants must analyze the collected evidence and identify the correct culprit, motive, or sequence of events. Success depends not only on coding skills but also on observation, logical reasoning, and attention to detail. Fair Play Policy: Original solutions are mandatory. Any form of plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification. The use of AI tools, code generators, or unauthorized assistance is strictly prohibited unless explicitly permitted for a specific round. Any attempt to manipulate the leaderboard or exploit the judging system will lead to permanent disqualification from Game of Codes and future events. The decisions of the organizing committee will be final and binding. Scoring: Each coding submission will be evaluated based on: Correctness. Time Complexity. Space Complexity. Performance on Hidden Test Cases. The Mystery Challenge will carry separate points for correctly identifying the weekly case solution. Are You Ready?: Every algorithm reveals a clue. Every clue uncovers a mystery. Every mystery brings you one step closer to becoming The Ultimate Baker Street Detective. Sharpen your logic, trust your instincts, and prepare for 30 days of coding, deduction, and adventure. The game is afoot!
