About this hackathon

Logic Loot Hunt: The Ultimate Coding Treasure Quest: Logic Loot Hunt is an immersive technical treasure hunt combining mystery-solving with coding, logical reasoning, and analytical problem-solving. Conducted as part of INNOVATEX 4.0, participants navigate multiple stages of cleverly designed clues, puzzles, and algorithmic tasks. Teams decode clues, solve logical riddles, and complete short coding challenges to unlock the next checkpoint, ultimately leading to the final treasure. The event evaluates problem-solving abilities, programming fundamentals, pattern recognition, and teamwork. Difficulty increases progressively, requiring precision, speed, and strategic collaboration. The final stage features a complex challenge whose solution determines the ultimate winners. Logic Loot Hunt strengthens skills relevant to engineering, software development, and technical problem-solving. Guidelines: Eligibility: Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from recognized colleges. Students from Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, and related domains are encouraged to participate. Participants must carry a valid college ID card. Team Composition: Team size: 2–3 members. Inter-college and inter-specialization teams allowed. Each participant can be part of only one team. Teams must remain together throughout the event. Competition Format: Structured as a multi-level technical treasure hunt. Teams solve clues sequentially to progress. Each level reveals a new clue or puzzle that must be solved before advancing. Event Flow: Level-Based Treasure Hunt Teams receive the first clue at the beginning of the event. Solving a clue unlocks the next checkpoint or challenge. Levels increase in difficulty. The final level contains a high-complexity problem determining the winning team. The team completing all levels and reaching the final solution first will be declared the winner. Time-bound event; penalties may apply for incorrect submissions. Types of Challenges: Logic puzzles Cryptographic ciphers QR code scanning clues Pattern or sequence analysis Short coding problems Algorithm-based mini challenges Hidden message decoding Challenges test algorithms, data structures, computational logic, and analytical reasoning. Design / Technical Specifications: Clues are provided at each round or checkpoint. Solving the current clue is mandatory to proceed. Teams must stay together throughout the event. Internet or mobile usage is prohibited unless explicitly permitted. Sharing hints or assisting other team leads to disqualification. Tampering with clues or checkpoints is prohibited. Submission & Progression: Each clue is validated by event proctors or organizers. Once verified, the team receives the next clue or location. Teams must solve challenges within the allotted time. Fair Play & Conduct: Sharing answers or hints between teams is prohibited. Tampering with clues or event materials is prohibited. Skipping or bypassing checkpoints is prohibited. Seeking unauthorized external assistance is prohibited. Violations result in immediate disqualification. Participants must maintain professional and respectful conduct. Proctoring & Monitoring: Event proctors stationed at clue points to ensure smooth conduct. Proctors validate answers, monitor progress, and ensure rule compliance. Participants must follow all instructions from proctors and organizers. Technical Issues: Report any technical problems immediately to organizers. Organizers verify the issue. Additional time may be granted only if confirmed as system-related. Judging Criteria: Number of successfully solved levels Accuracy of solutions Speed of completion Strategic teamwork and problem-solving The first team to reach the final solution with valid answers will be declared the winner. Judges’ and organizers’ decisions are final and binding. Prizes & Certification: Top-performing teams receive: Winner and Runner-up prizes Certificates of Achievement Recognition during the award ceremony All registered participants may receive participation certificates as per event policy.
