About the Event Mini Smart India Hackathon 2026 (Mini-SIH) is a flagship innovation hackathon organized by InnovateX at Presidency University, Bengaluru. Inspired by the national-level Smart India Hackathon, Mini-SIH brings the same spirit of problem-solving, innovation, and teamwork to our campus — giving college and university students a platform to ideate, build, and present real-world solutions under one roof. This is a 24-hour intensive offline hackathon where teams compete across three categories: Software, Hardware, and Student Innovation. Whether you are a coder, designer, engineer, or a creative thinker from any stream — Mini-SIH has a place for you. Key Highlights 24-hour non-stop offline hackathon 3 tracks: Software Edition, Hardware Edition & Student Innovation Open innovation theme — build a solution to any real-world problem Total prize pool of ₹45,000 in cash prizes Certificates for all participants, finalists, and winners Mentorship and guidance during the hackathon Open to all college and university students Event Details   Date:  6th April 2026 (11:00 AM) — 7th April 2026 (11:00 AM)   Venue:  Presidency University, Bengaluru (Offline)   Team Size:  4 members per team   Theme:  Open Innovation — Any Domain   Registration:  3rd March 2026 — 15th March 2026 Who Can Participate? Any college or university student (UG / PG / Diploma) Students from any stream — Engineering, Science, Arts, Commerce, Design, and more Teams of exactly 4 members (cross-college teams are not allowed) No prior hackathon experience required — all skill levels welcome Tracks / Categories Software Edition Build apps, websites, AI/ML models, platforms, or any software-based solution to a real-world problem. Hardware Edition Design and prototype hardware-based solutions — IoT, robotics, embedded systems, circuits, and more. Student Innovation An open category for creative, out-of-the-box ideas. Think beyond tech — social innovation, business models, design solutions, or anything that solves a real problem. Open to all streams.
