Build. Compete. Solve. Showcase. Build With Talent S1 is a 7-day remote team-based hackathon designed to challenge students, developers, and technology enthusiasts to solve a real-world problem by turning an idea into a functional and practical solution. Participants will form teams, receive a problem statement, and work together to ideate, design, develop, test, and present their solution within a defined 7-day challenge period. The competition focuses on problem-solving, technical execution, creativity, innovation, product thinking, teamwork, and the ability to build a meaningful solution under a deadline. Whether you are an experienced developer or participating in your first hackathon, this is an opportunity to challenge yourself, collaborate with others, and build something you can proudly showcase. One problem. Seven days. One team. One solution. Who Can Participate? The hackathon is open to: College and university students Aspiring developers and technology enthusiasts Students interested in software development and technology Individuals interested in product building and problem-solving Anyone passionate about building innovative technology solutions Participants from different colleges, cities, and backgrounds are welcome to form teams. The hackathon is completely remote, allowing participants to collaborate from anywhere. Eligibility: Participants must be 18 years or older. Open to students. Teams must consist of 2–4 members. Each participant can be part of only one team. Cross-college and cross-city teams are allowed. All team members must complete the required registration. Participants must be able to commit to the complete 7-day development period. All submitted work must be original and attributable to the registered team. How the Competition Works: Stage 1 | Registration: Participants register individually or as a team and provide the required participant and team information. Teams may collaborate with members from different colleges, cities, and institutions. Stage 2 | Assessment: Registered participants may be required to complete an online aptitude and problem-solving assessment. The assessment may cover areas such as: Logical reasoning Analytical thinking Problem-solving Basic technical understanding Decision-making Stage 3 | Team Shortlisting: Eligible teams will be shortlisted based on the applicable competition criteria and assessment performance. Shortlisted teams will receive the information required to participate in the main hackathon challenge. Stage 4 | Problem Statement: Shortlisted teams will receive a real-world problem statement along with the challenge requirements, expectations, evaluation criteria, and submission guidelines. Once the challenge begins: The 7-day clock starts. Stage 5 | Build for 7 Days: Teams will work remotely to transform the problem statement into a functional solution. Participants are encouraged to demonstrate: Problem understanding Product thinking Technical execution Creativity Innovation Team collaboration Practical implementation Teams are free to plan their own workflow and divide responsibilities among members. Stage 6 | Submission: Teams will submit their completed solution before the announced deadline. Depending on the challenge requirements, submissions may include: Project repository Deployed application Demo video Project documentation Presentation Technical details Other materials specified in the problem statement Stage 7 | Evaluation: Submitted projects will be reviewed by the evaluation panel. Projects will be evaluated according to the published competition criteria, with emphasis on the quality, creativity, functionality, and practical value of the solution. Stage 8 | Final Results: The highest-performing teams will be selected based on the overall evaluation. Final results will be announced after completion of the evaluation process. Outstanding teams and participants may receive recognition, certificates, awards, or other benefits according to the final event structure. Hackathon Format: Stage Format   Registration Online Assessment Online Team Shortlisting Based on applicable criteria Problem Statement Released digitally Development 7 Days — Fully Remote Submission Online Project Evaluation Evaluation Panel Final Results Based on Competition Performance Recognition Selected Participants/Teams What You Need to Build: Once your team is selected for the main challenge, you will receive a problem statement describing a real-world challenge. Your objective is to transform that challenge into a functional, thoughtful, and practical solution. Think: Understand → Ideate → Plan → Design → Build → Test → Deploy → Present The goal isn't simply to write code. We're looking for teams that can understand a problem, make thoughtful decisions, build effectively, and present a solution that provides genuine value. Evaluation Criteria: Problem Understanding: How clearly does the team understand the given problem, its requirements, and its potential users? Solution Quality: How effectively does the proposed solution address the problem statement? Technical Execution: How well does the solution work? Is the implementation technically sound, functional, and reliable? Innovation & Creativity: Does the solution demonstrate an original, creative, or improved approach to the problem? User Experience: Is the solution intuitive, accessible, and thoughtfully designed? Completeness: How much of the proposed solution has been implemented within the challenge period? Scalability & Practicality: Could the solution realistically be developed further or applied in a real-world environment? Team Collaboration: How effectively did the team collaborate, divide responsibilities, and work together throughout the challenge? Presentation & Demonstration: How clearly can the team explain its solution, decisions, implementation, challenges, and results? Competition Rules: Participation: Each participant can register with only one team. Each team must have 2–4 members. Team members may belong to different colleges, cities, or institutions. Team composition cannot be changed after shortlisting unless explicitly permitted by the organizers. Project Development: The project must be developed during the designated 7-day hackathon period. Previously developed projects cannot be submitted as the primary solution. Teams may use publicly available libraries, frameworks, APIs, and development tools unless specifically restricted in the problem statement. Teams must be able to explain and demonstrate the work submitted. Submission: Only one final submission is permitted per team. Submissions must be made before the announced deadline. Late submissions may not be considered. Teams may be required to provide a repository, deployed application, demo video, documentation, presentation, or other materials specified by the organizers. Integrity: Plagiarism, impersonation, falsification, or submission of another team's work will result in disqualification. Sharing complete solutions or substantial portions of project work between teams is prohibited. Any attempt to manipulate the assessment or evaluation process may result in immediate disqualification. All team members must make a genuine contribution to the submitted project. General: Final results will be determined based on the published evaluation criteria and the evaluation panel's assessment. Participants are responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply with all applicable rules and requirements. The organizers reserve the right to modify the schedule, evaluation process, eligibility requirements, or competition structure when necessary. Decisions made by the evaluation panel regarding final results will be considered final. What We're Looking For: We're not necessarily looking for the team using the most complicated technology. We're looking for teams that can: Think clearly. Understand problems. Build practical solutions. Work effectively as a team. Learn and adapt quickly. Make thoughtful technical decisions. Present their work confidently. A simple solution executed exceptionally well can be stronger than a complex solution that fails to solve the actual problem. What You Can Gain: Real-World Problem-Solving: Work on a practical problem and experience the process of turning requirements into a working solution. Build a Showcase Project: Create a project that demonstrates your technical, creative, and problem-solving abilities. Team Collaboration: Experience working with teammates from different colleges, cities, and backgrounds. Practical Development Experience: Go through the complete product-building cycle within a defined deadline. Innovation & Creativity: Explore new ideas and experiment with technologies while solving a meaningful challenge. Recognition: Outstanding projects and participants may receive recognition according to the final competition structure. Certificates: Eligible participants may receive certificates based on the applicable participation and achievement criteria.
