Overview ARGONYX ’26 is a 24-hour hackathon that simulates a real-world startup environment, challenging teams to rapidly prototype innovative solutions, solve real-world problems, collaborate across disciplines, and pitch their working prototypes to judges. Organizers: School of Computer Science and Engineering, RV University IEEE SB RVU ECell- The Entrepreneurship Cell Viksha – The Coding Club Eligibility: Open to all undergraduate students (College ID mandatory) Team Composition: Inter-college teams: Allowed Inter-specialization teams: Allowed Team size: 2–4 members Format: Team participation is required Event Format: Round 1: Online Screening Teams submit a PPT of their idea online Evaluation based on innovation, feasibility, and clarity Shortlisted teams qualify for the offline hackathon Registration fee: ₹100 per team (non-refundable) Round 2: Offline Hackathon Date: 25th–26th September 2026 Time: 25th September, 11 AM onwards Venue: RV University Format: 24-hour coding hackathon and idea pitching Shortlisted teams will be notified and must confirm their participation by paying Rs. 800 per team (non-refundable) for the facilities provided during the offline event. [Facilities Provided: Food, refreshments, high-speed internet, breakout rooms, and other amenities] Rules: Solutions must be original (no plagiarism) Teams must build/refine their solution during the allotted time on-site All team members must be registered before the deadline Travel and accommodation expenses are self-funded Incomplete registration payments will not be refunded Submission Deliverables: Working prototype Source code repository 2-minute demo video Final pitch deck (max 8 slides) Presentation Format: 5-minute pitch + 2-minute Q&A Live demo mandatory (backup video allowed) All members must participate Emphasis on presentation style and market relevance Round 1 Evaluation: Round 1 evaluation is based on a 100 point scale. Since this round is conducted fully online, ninety points are awarded across six evaluation categories assessing the quality of the proposed idea and solution. The remaining ten points are awarded for completing the sponsor repository engagement requirement, which is mandatory for all participating teams. Problem-Solution Fit: How well does the proposed solution address the given problem statement? Is it relevant and clearly aligned? — 15% — 1–10 Market and User Need Analysis: How relevant is the idea to the domain and current industry trends or societal needs? — 15% — 1–10 Innovation & Creativity: How unique and innovative is the idea? Does it offer a novel or creative approach to solving the problem? — 25% — 1–10 Technical Feasibility & Execution: Is the proposed solution realistic and achievable within the given timeframe and resources, and is the technical approach sound? — 15% — 1–10 Potential Impact: If solved, how significant would the solution be? Would it have a meaningful impact or application? — 10% — 1–10 Scalability & Future Scope: Does the idea have potential for scalability and future development? — 10% — 1–10 Sponsor Repository Engagement and open source contribution: Has the team starred the repository shared by the sponsor, as required for participation and and Open Source Community Contributions, including meaningful open-source activity and engagement with the sponsor repository. GitHub Stars are voluntary and will be considered only as additional/bonus points, not as a mandatory requirement — 10% — 0 or 10 Judging Criteria Round 2: Innovation: 25% Technical implementation: 25% Presentation & storytelling: 25% Business impact & market potential: 25% Additional Recognition & Opportunities GitHub & Open Source Community Contributions: A total of 10 points are allocated in the Round 1 evaluation rubric for GitHub Stars and Open Source Community Contributions. GitHub Stars are completely voluntary and are not mandatory for participation. They will be considered only as additional/extra points within the evaluation criteria. Participants will not be required to solicit or obtain GitHub Stars. Best UI/UX Team – Studio1 Opportunity The team recognized as Best UI/UX Team will receive a direct interview opportunity with Studio1 for a Developer role. This provides the winning team with an opportunity to showcase their technical and design skills to Studio1.
