Codeathon 2026 is VIT’s biggest hackathon , focused on innovation, problem-solving, and building impactful tech solutions by undergraduate students. The hackathon is conducted in two stages: Stage 1: Online shortlisting based on PPT submission Stage 2: In-person final round involving product building, evaluation, and live presentation There are no fixed problem statements. Teams are free to work on any idea aligned with the listed innovation domains. Eligibility & Team Details: Open to undergraduate students only Team size: 2 to 4 members Inter-college and inter-specialization teams are allowed Participants must be 18 years or older Innovation Domains AI, GenAI & Intelligent Agents Machine Learning Social Impact & Accessibility FinTech Full Stack Development Event Structure Stage 1: Online Shortlisting (PPT Submission) Teams must submit a PPT as per the official template Registration without Round 1 PPT submission will not be considered for evaluation or shortlisting. No working prototype is required Shortlisting is based on idea clarity, technical approach, feasibility, and product thinking No registration fee for this stage Stage 2: Final Round (In-Person) Shortlisted teams must confirm participation by paying a ₹400 registration fee per team If a shortlisted team fails to pay within the deadline, the slot will be offered to waitlisted teams Teams will build/refine their solution into a functional product Judges will review progress, suggest improvements, re-evaluate and score teams Top teams will present and showcase their final product in the final presentation round Certificates All teams participating in the final round will receive e-certificates of participation Certificates will be issued to each registered team member Timeline Registrations Open: 5th January 2026 Stage 1 PPT Submission Deadline: I8th January Final Shortlist Announcement: 27th January 2026 Stage 2 Final Round (In-Person): 31st January 2026 Note: Detailed domain descriptions, rules and submission guidelines are provided in the official event brochure.
