HackChrono is a 48-hour open-source hackathon focused on building tech-driven solutions for real-world social challenges. Participants will tackle pressing problems across domains like HealthTech, EduTech, Sustainability, Accessibility, Women & Child Safety, and Community Empowerment — all aligned with NGO needs.
What makes this hackathon unique is its open-source mandate: All projects developed during the event will be made publicly available and shared with partner NGOs, social workers, and grassroots changemakers for real-world use, scale, or further development.

Rules:
Team Composition:
Each team must consist of 3 to 4 members only.
All members must be currently enrolled UG or PG students.
Hackathon Timeline
All work must be done strictly within the 48-hour hackathon window.
No pre-built projects allowed; teams can use open-source components with proper credits.
Open Source and Social Impact:
Final projects must be made open-source and publicly accessible via platforms like GitHub.
Solutions will be shared with partner NGOs and made available for real-world use.
Teams should focus on building inclusive, accessible, and community-driven solutions.
Originality and Fair Play:
All submissions must be original and created during the event.
Plagiarism or reused codebases will result in immediate disqualification.
Mentors are for guidance only — they cannot contribute to the development.
Submission Requirements: ( Each team must submit)
A working prototype or MVP
A pitch deck describing the problem, solution, impact, and tech approach
A GitHub repo link for the source code.
Conduct and Decorum
Maintain a respectful and inclusive environment.
Misconduct, harassment, or violation of rules will lead to disqualification.
Care for venue property, equipment, and co-participants is expected.
Organizers' Rights:
Organizers may update rules or format as needed during the event.
All jury decisions will be final and binding.
