Ecoverse 2025 is a state-wide innovation challenge uniting visionary students and developers to create tech-powered sustainability solutions that can transform our planet’s future.
Organized by Biosphere, VIT Chennai, this flagship initiative empowers students to engineer sustainability through Data Science, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, IoT, and Robotics — where technology meets purpose and innovation fuels impact.

Commencement:
Participating teams will receive their final problem statements related to their chosen track.

Round 1: Ideation (PPT Submission)
Submit a PPT explaining your idea, problem statement, novelty, and feasibility.
Evaluation Criteria: Creativity, sustainability impact, and clarity.
Review 1: November 5 (Afternoon)
Feedback provided to shortlisted teams.
Round 2: Prototype Development (GitHub Submission)
Develop and submit a partial prototype via a public GitHub repository.
Review 2: November 5 (Evening)
Evaluation Criteria: Originality, progress, and technical approach.
Includes plagiarism checks and mentor feedback.
Round 3: Final Evaluation & Pitch
Submit your final working prototype and pitch to the expert panel.
Review 3: November 6 (Morning)
Evaluation Criteria: Functionality, scalability, innovation, and sustainability impact.

Team Guidelines & Eligibility:
Open to college students (UG & PG) across Tamil Nadu.
Team size: 2–4 members.
Inter-specialization teams: Allowed.
Teams must belong to the same college.
Each team must designate a Team Leader for submissions and communication.
A participant can be part of only one team.
Rules:
All submissions must be original and created solely by the team.
Plagiarism from other participants or existing repositories will result in immediate disqualification.
Open-source libraries and tools are allowed.
Teams must adhere to submission deadlines.
The use of AI tools is allowed.
All code must be hosted on a public GitHub repository.
The decision of the judges and organizing committee will be final.
