Hackforge 2026: AI Vibe Coding Hackathon & Idea Pitch IDEATE. BUILD. DEMO. PITCH. HackForge 2026 is an AI Vibe Coding Hackathon and Idea Pitching Challenge conducted as part of INFOGRAM 2K26 at C. Abdul Hakeem College of Engineering and Technology. HackForge is designed for students, developers, AI enthusiasts, innovators, startup enthusiasts and aspiring product builders who want to transform ideas into practical, AI-powered digital solutions. Unlike a conventional long-duration hackathon, HackForge focuses on rapid ideation, AI-assisted development, functional prototyping and effective pitching. Participants will be challenged to transform an idea into a working web application within a limited time, prepare a concise pitch and demonstrate their solution before a panel of judges. The core philosophy of HackForge is simple: Don't just have an idea. Build it. Pitch it. HackForge it. Hackforge Challenge: Participants will progress through two intensive rounds: Round 1 — Ideate & Build: Participants will identify a meaningful problem and develop an AI-powered web application or functional prototype using modern AI-assisted development tools. Time Allocation: 30 Minutes — Build 20 Minutes — PPT / Pitch Preparation Participants are expected to focus on creating a functional and demonstrable solution rather than merely presenting an abstract concept. The solution may address areas such as: EduTech CareerAI Generative AI Environment & Sustainability AgriTech HealthTech Government & Civic Technology Open Innovation Participants are encouraged to use Base44 and AI-powered development workflows to accelerate the development of their solution. Round 2 — Demo & Idea Pitch: Shortlisted participants will present their solution before the judging panel. Time Allocation: 5 Minutes — Presentation & Product Demo 2 Minutes — Q&A with Judges The presentation should clearly communicate: The problem being addressed The proposed solution Target users Key features How AI is used Demonstration of the working solution Innovation and differentiation Potential impact and scalability Participants are expected to demonstrate their actual build wherever technically possible. Open Innovation: HackForge is not restricted to a single technology or problem domain. Participants may build solutions addressing real-world challenges across education, careers, agriculture, healthcare, sustainability, governance, productivity, entrepreneurship and other meaningful areas. Teams with innovative ideas outside the suggested domains may participate under Open Innovation, provided that the solution demonstrates clear problem relevance, innovation and potential impact. Who Can Participate?: HackForge is open to: College and university students Students from any academic department AI aspirants Developers Vibe coders Innovators Startup enthusiasts Product builders Technology enthusiasts Participants do not need to be expert programmers. HackForge encourages participants to combine problem-solving, creativity, AI tools and rapid product development. Mandatory Participant Requirement: One laptop is mandatory for each team. Every participating team must bring at least one functional laptop to the event. The laptop will be required for: AI-assisted development Building the web application Accessing Base44 and other permitted tools Preparing the presentation Demonstrating the project Participants are responsible for bringing their own laptop and ensuring that it is sufficiently charged and ready for use. The organisers will not be responsible for providing laptops to teams. Teams are strongly advised to bring their own charging adapters and any other essential accessories required for development. Originality: All submitted ideas, applications, prototypes and presentations must be the participant's or team's own work. Plagiarism, copying another participant's solution or presenting someone else's work as original is strictly prohibited. 2. Team Laptop Requirement: At least ONE LAPTOP IS MANDATORY FOR EACH TEAM. Teams must bring their own laptop for the development, presentation preparation and project demonstration. The organisers will not be responsible for providing laptops or replacing participant devices. 3. Build-Time Requirement: The primary development challenge must be completed within the allotted 30-minute build period. Participants may have a general idea or problem area in mind before the event, but the actual challenge is to demonstrate rapid development and implementation during the designated build round. 4. Use Of AI Tools: AI-assisted development and productivity tools are permitted and encouraged as part of the HackForge experience. Participants are responsible for understanding, validating and presenting the functionality generated with AI tools. Simply generating an application without understanding or being able to explain the solution may negatively affect evaluation. 5. Base44: HackForge is centered around AI-powered application development using Base44 and modern AI-assisted development workflows. Participants must follow the event instructions regarding the permitted development environment, tools and resources. 6. Working Demonstration: Participants should make reasonable efforts to present a functional and demonstrable prototype. A concept-only presentation without meaningful implementation may receive lower evaluation for technical implementation and functionality. 7. Presentation Time Limit: Participants must strictly follow the allotted presentation time. 5 minutes are provided for presentation and demonstration, followed by 2 minutes for questions from the judges. Participants exceeding the allotted time may be stopped by the organisers. 8. Judging Decision: The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding. Judges may evaluate projects based on innovation, problem relevance, AI utilization, implementation, impact, scalability, user experience and presentation quality. 9. Appropriate Content: Solutions must comply with applicable laws and must not contain harmful, illegal, abusive, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate content. 10. Third-Party Resources: Participants may use publicly available APIs, libraries, frameworks and other legitimate resources where permitted. Any significant third-party component, dataset, API or resource used in the solution should be appropriately acknowledged. 11. Intellectual Property: Participants retain ownership of their original ideas and work, subject to the terms and conditions applicable to any third-party tools, platforms, APIs or resources used. Participants must ensure that they have the necessary rights or permissions to use external assets, datasets, images, code and other resources incorporated into their project. 12. Misrepresentation: Participants must not make false claims regarding their technology, results, users, partnerships, achievements or capabilities during their presentation. 13. Disqualification: The organisers reserve the right to disqualify a participant or team in cases involving: Plagiarism or substantial copying Cheating or unfair practices Misrepresentation Violation of event rules Abuse of event resources Inappropriate or unlawful content Attempts to interfere with another participant's work or the event process Failure to comply with instructions from the organisers or judges 14. Event Instructions: Participants must follow all instructions communicated by the HackForge organising team during the event. The organisers may modify operational details, schedules or procedures when necessary to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the event. 15. Attendance: Registered participants are expected to be present at the venue at the designated reporting time and remain available throughout the stages in which they are participating. 16. Certificates & Participant Recognition: Every eligible participant will receive a Certificate of Excellence recognizing their participation in HackForge. Where applicable, the certificate may include the participant's name, team name and build/project name. Certificates of Appreciation and additional recognition may be awarded to participants or teams demonstrating exceptional innovation, contribution, teamwork, leadership or other noteworthy achievements.
