InfiniX'26 – National Level 32-Hour Hackathon About the Event InfiniX'26 is a National Level 32-Hour Offline Hackathon organized by the Department of Information Technology, Ramco Institute of Technology, in association with The Institution of Engineers (India) – RIT Chapter. The hackathon provides an opportunity for students to collaborate, innovate, and develop technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges. Participants will work continuously for 32 hours to build a functional prototype (Minimum Viable Product - MVP) based on a problem statement released at the event. Eligibility: Open to Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) students from AICTE/UGC-recognized institutions. Participants must possess a valid College/University ID card. Both internal (Ramco Institute of Technology) and external (other colleges) students are eligible to participate. Team Formation: Team Size: 3–5 members. Mixed teams comprising both Ramco Institute of Technology students and students from other institutions are not allowed. Inter-specialization (cross-department) teams within the same institution are allowed. Team composition cannot be changed after registration without prior approval from the organizing committee. Registration: Internal Participants (Ramco Institute of Technology): ₹200 per participant. External Participants (Other Colleges): ₹350 per participant. Registration is accepted only through the official InfiniX'26 website: https://ritinfinix.vercel.app/ Registrations submitted through email, phone calls, WhatsApp, social media, or any other mode will not be accepted. Registration will be confirmed only after successful payment and verification by the organizing committee. Registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances. Competition Format: Round 1 – Problem Statement Release & Selection Duration: 30 Minutes Problem statements will be released only at the official commencement of the hackathon. Each team must select one problem statement from the available domains. Once selected, the problem statement cannot be changed. Round 2 – Prototype Development Duration: Approximately 28 Hours Teams must design, develop, and test their solution. Mentor interactions and periodic progress reviews may be conducted during this phase. Round 3 – Final Evaluation & Presentation Duration: Approximately 3.5 Hours Teams will submit their final project and present it before the jury. Evaluation will be based on innovation, technical implementation, feasibility, presentation, and overall impact. Problem Statements: Problem statements will be announced only on the day of the hackathon. Teams must choose one problem statement. Solutions must be developed entirely during the official 32-hour hackathon period. Problem Domains: Core Technology Domains Smart Intelligence (AI & Machine Learning) Secure Computing in the Modern Technical World (Cybersecurity) Healthcare, Biotechnology & MedTech Cloud Computing & DevOps FinTech Open Innovation Mechanical & Civil Engineering – Smart Automation Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication Engineering – Energy Innovation & Smart Grid Submission Requirements: Each team must submit: Functional Prototype (Minimum Viable Product - MVP) Source Code Presentation (PPT) Project Documentation GitHub Repository (Recommended) Participant Guidelines Participants must carry a valid College ID card. Participants must bring their own laptop, charger, and necessary accessories. If the project requires IoT kits, sensors, robotics equipment, drones, embedded systems, microcontrollers, or any other hardware, teams must bring and arrange them on their own. The organizing committee will not provide hardware devices or electronic components. High-speed Wi-Fi, power supply, workspace, meals, refreshments, and mentor support will be provided. AI-assisted development tools are permitted; however, participants must be able to explain and justify their implementation during evaluation. Rules: Only projects developed during the official 32-hour hackathon will be considered. Plagiarism or copying another team's work will result in immediate disqualification. Teams must submit all deliverables before the submission deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted. Participants must maintain professional conduct throughout the event. Damage to college property or misconduct may result in disqualification. The organizing committee reserves the right to modify the schedule or rules if required. The decision of the judges and organizing committee shall be final and binding.
