Organised by: The Free Software Wing of GRIET College Event Details: Dates: January 30-31, 2026 Duration: 24 hours Team Size: 2-4 members Registration fee: 3000/- (PER TEAM) Venue: Hall 1, GRIET College, Hyderabad, Telangana  Hackathon Overview: This hackathon is open to all students, regardless of their major or experience level. It provides a platform for participants to showcase their coding skills, collaborate with peers, and develop innovative solutions. The event will commence at 10 AM on January 30 and run continuously until 10 AM on January 31. A closing ceremony and prize distribution will follow at 3 PM on January 31. Participants can select any project from the five domains provided. Teams incorporating free and open-source software into their prototypes will receive additional points in the evaluation. Industry experts and mentors will be available throughout the event for guidance. At the conclusion of the hackathon, teams will present their projects to a panel of judges, who will evaluate them based on creativity, innovation, technical skills, and potential impact. Winners will be announced, and prizes will be awarded. This event is a great opportunity for students to explore their creativity, enhance their skills, and contribute to the world of free and open-source software. Perks for Participants: Four meals provided: Lunch, dinner, breakfast, and a second lunch. Participation certificates will be awarded to all attendees. Domains:  FinTech Technology-driven financial solutions that enhance payments, lending, investments, security, and financial inclusion using AI, blockchain, and digital platforms. Examples: Smart budgeting apps, fraud detection systems, digital wallets, peer-to-peer lending platforms.  Sustainable and Agro-Tech Innovative technologies that promote sustainable agriculture, efficient resource usage, and environmentally responsible food production. Examples: AI-based crop monitoring, smart irrigation systems, soil health analysis tools, farm management platforms. Healthcare AI-driven patient care, optimized healthcare delivery, and administrative streamlining. Examples: Telemedicine platforms, electronic health records, health monitoring apps. Smart Education Personalized learning, gamified education, and AI-powered assessments. Examples: Adaptive learning platforms, AI chatbots for education, real-time student feedback systems. Open Innovation Encouraging open collaboration and knowledge-sharing to solve complex challenges. Examples: Crowdsourcing platforms, open-source software projects. Important Notes: 20% weightage will be given to projects incorporating open-source software. If fewer than three teams register in a domain, it will be merged into Open Innovation. If a domain has fewer than 10 teams, the prize will be awarded only to the first place - no runner-up. Domains have limited slots; if the limit is exceeded, teams may be required to switch domains
