Mirage CTF 2.0 — Reality is a Lie. The Flag Isn't. About the Event: Mirage CTF 2.0 is a premier online cybersecurity competition organized by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai in it's flagship cyber security chapter Amrita Cyber Nation (ACN) in collaboration with NuLL B0rn. Built around the classic Jeopardy-style Capture the Flag (CTF) format, the competition challenges participants to solve a diverse set of cybersecurity problems by discovering hidden flags. The event is designed to simulate real-world security scenarios while encouraging critical thinking, technical expertise, teamwork, and problem-solving under pressure. Event Details: Date: 7 September 2026 Mode: On-campus Duration: 16 Hours Team Size: 2–3 Participants Prize Pool: ₹20,000 Domains Covered: Participants will tackle challenges across several cybersecurity disciplines, including: Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Web Exploitation Reverse Engineering Digital Forensics Binary Exploitation Cryptography Each category will test a different aspect of cybersecurity knowledge, requiring participants to analyze, investigate, exploit, decode, and think creatively to uncover the correct flags. Eligibility: Mirage CTF 2.0 welcomes participants from all backgrounds who are passionate about technology and cybersecurity. The competition is open to: Cybersecurity enthusiasts College students (strictly non-AVV Chennai students) Programmers and developers Researchers Students from interdisciplinary fields Teams may consist of two to three members, and cross-college teams are permitted. Competition Format: The competition follows a dynamic scoring system in which challenge values change based on the number of successful submissions. Participants will compete on a live leaderboard throughout the event, and the team with the highest score at the end of the competition will be declared the winner. Why Participate? Mirage CTF 2.0 offers participants an opportunity to: Apply cybersecurity concepts in practical scenarios Strengthen technical and analytical skills Experience real-world security challenges Collaborate with teammates in a competitive environment Engage with a growing cybersecurity community Whether you are an experienced competitor or participating in your first CTF, Mirage CTF 2.0 provides an excellent platform to learn, compete, and showcase your abilities. Rules and Code of Conduct: Participants are expected to maintain professionalism throughout the competition. Attacking the competition infrastructure is strictly prohibited. Sharing flags, solutions, or hints with others is not allowed. Plagiarism and other unfair practices will result in immediate disqualification. Participants should ensure they have a stable internet connection throughout the event. The organizers' decision will be considered final in the event of any disputes. One truth. Sixteen hours.
