Innovation Unbound Prelims

Innovation Unbound Innovation Unbound is a technology-driven hackathon focused on building practical solutions at the intersection of banking, financial inclusion, sustainability, and social impact. Participants will explore real-world challenges faced by startups, MSMEs, entrepreneurs, and underserved communities and develop innovative solutions using AI/ML, automation, APIs, predictive analytics, and other emerging technologies. Round 1 — Innovation Snapshot Participants will choose any startup/MSME and submit a short 4 - 6 slide presentation covering: Company: What does it do? Problem: Identify one genuine business or financial challenge. Opportunity: How can banking, fintech, or technology help? Solution: Propose a potential solution/MVP. Impact: Explain its potential contribution to financial sustainability, inclusion, or business growth. Participants must use real information, creativity, and provide sources for their research. Only participants shortlisted from Round 1 will be eligible for the offline hackathon. Round 2 — Offline Hackathon Shortlisted participants will compete in a 24-hour offline hackathon at VIT Chennai, transforming their ideas into functional prototypes/MVPs. Date: 3rd September, 12:00 PM – 4th September, 2:00 PMVenue: VIT Chennai Teams will research, ideate, build, test, and present their solutions, with emphasis on technical implementation, innovation, feasibility, sustainability, and social impact.
