About Breaking Bot IPEC: Breaking Bot IPEC is the flagship national-level hackathon jointly organized by IEEE Student Branch, Indraprastha Engineering College (IPEC), Ghaziabad, and Coders Den. Inspired by the iconic Breaking Bad universe, the hackathon challenges participants to "break" conventional thinking, experiment with bold ideas, and build innovative technology that solves real-world problems. More than just a coding competition, Breaking Bot IPEC is where creativity meets technology. Participants will collaborate in teams to transform ambitious ideas into impactful solutions while experiencing an energetic atmosphere filled with mentorship, networking, and innovation. Eligibility: Undergraduate students Postgraduate students Developers, designers, and technology enthusiasts from recognized institutions across India Team Size: 2–3 Members Cross-college teams are allowed. Cross-disciplinary teams are encouraged. Each participant can be a member of only one team. Competition Format: Round 1 – Online Idea Submission (Screening Round): The first round is an online elimination stage. Teams must submit a PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) explaining their proposed solution. The PPT should clearly cover the problem statement, existing challenges, proposed solution, key features, workflow or system architecture, technology stack, implementation roadmap, innovation, scalability, expected impact, and future scope of the project. The presentation should effectively communicate the originality, feasibility, and potential real-world impact of the proposed solution. Every submission will be evaluated on: Innovation Technical feasibility Problem relevance Practical implementation Clarity of presentation Scalability Real-world impact Only the highest-ranked teams will advance to the Offline Grand Finale. Round 2 – Offline Grand Finale: Shortlisted teams will be invited to Indraprastha Engineering College, Ghaziabad, where they will compete in an intensive offline hackathon. During the event, participants will: Build a fully functional prototype. Receive mentorship from industry experts. Validate and refine their solution. Present and demonstrate their project before an expert judging panel. Network with fellow innovators, mentors, recruiters, and professionals. The highest-scoring teams will be declared winners and receive exciting prizes, certificates, goodies, and recognition. Judging Criteria: Projects will be evaluated based on: Projects will be evaluated based on innovation and creativity, technical implementation, problem relevance, user experience (UI/UX), scalability, business potential, practical feasibility, presentation and demonstration, and the overall impact of the solution. Rules & Guidelines: All project ideas must be original. Teams are expected to build their prototype during the hackathon. Previously developed or commercially available projects are not permitted. Participants may use open-source tools, APIs, and frameworks while complying with their respective licenses. Any plagiarism, unethical conduct, or violation of the event rules will result in immediate disqualification. Shortlisted teams must remain present throughout the Offline Grand Finale.
