About this hackathon

HackOClock 2.0 – A Journey from Ideas to Innovation   HackOClock 2.0 is back with greater energy, bolder ideas, and a powerful mission — to transform creativity into market-ready innovation. This is not just a hackathon; it is a launchpad for future products and startups.   Participants will go through an intense three-stage journey where imagination meets execution and ideas evolve into solutions that can truly make an impact in the real world.   ⸻   Problem Statement – Open Innovation (Market-Ready Solutions)   Theme: Open Innovation   Participants are free to choose any domain or problem area, but the focus must be on designing a project or product that is market viable and can be sold or deployed in real-world scenarios.   Your solution should: • Solve a real-life problem • Have clear user value • Be technically feasible • Be scalable and sustainable • Show potential as a startup or business idea   Whether it’s in AI, FinTech, HealthTech, EdTech, Sustainability, Smart Cities, or Social Impact, your project should aim to bridge the gap between innovation and entrepreneurship.   This hackathon encourages participants to think beyond coding and build solutions that people would actually use and pay for.   ⸻   Stage 1: PPT Submission Round (via Unstop)   The first step begins with a PPT submission round through Unstop.   Each team will submit a presentation explaining: • The problem they are solving • Their proposed solution and innovation • Target users and market relevance • Technical approach and tools • Business or monetization potential • Expected impact and future scope   This round evaluates your vision, creativity, clarity, and feasibility. Only the most innovative and promising teams will be shortlisted for the Online Round.   ⸻   Stage 2: Online Round (15th February)   Shortlisted teams will advance to the Online Round on 15th February, where excitement intensifies.   In this round, teams will: • Present and defend their ideas online • Receive guidance and feedback from mentors • Demonstrate technical planning and execution strategy • Improve their concepts based on expert suggestions   This round tests how well your idea can evolve and adapt. From here, only the best-performing teams will qualify for the Offline Finale.   ⸻   Stage 3: Offline Grand Finale at IILM University (23rd–24th February)   The final stage will be hosted at IILM University on 23rd and 24th February, bringing together the brightest teams for a two-day offline hackathon.   Finalist teams will: • Build their working prototypes in real time • Collaborate with mentors and fellow innovators • Participate in technical sessions and activities • Pitch their final products to an expert jury   This is where ideas become tangible products and innovation turns into reality.   ⸻   Why You Should Join HackOClock 2.0   HackOClock 2.0 is more than a competition — it is an experience: • Exciting prizes and recognition • Certificates for participants and winners • Mentorship from industry professionals • Networking with innovators and developers • Exposure to real-world entrepreneurial thinking • A platform to showcase market-ready solutions   ⸻   Important Dates • PPT Submission Round: via Unstop • Online Round: 15th February • Offline Grand Finale: 23rd – 24th February • Venue: IILM University   ⸻   Final Call to Innovators   Start with an idea. Shape it into a solution. Turn it into a product.   HackOClock 2.0 challenges you not only to build, but to build something that matters — something people need, something people use, and something people would buy.   The clock is ticking. The future is waiting to be hacked. ⏳
