About this hackathon
Overview:Enter the arena with DJS S4DS’s Xtract 5.0 a coding battle royale inspired by The Hunger Games, where logic and teamwork are your only survival gear through the high stakes grounds of DJ Sanghvi College of Engineering. This year, the event transforms the campus into a fierce battleground: teams must conquer technical puzzles in Data Science, Machine Learning, and NLP across four tracks. Only after deciphering all three, does your team earn the right to face the final OpenCV showdown, a single problem that stands between you and victory. Every step forward is revealed through QR codes, hidden like clues in a real life treasure hunt that weaves the digital and physical worlds into one ultimate test of survival.May the odds be ever in your favor.
Structure:
Four unique tracks, each with a set sequence: Data Science → Machine Learning → NLP
Teams unlock the exclusive OpenCV finale only after solving their track’s trio of problems.
All tracks run concurrently; each challenge must be cleared in order per track.
Physical QR codes scattered throughout the campus act as gateways to each new challenge, immersing participants in a survival-themed hunt that brings The Hunger Games universe alive.
Preliminary Round: All teams face a resume shortlisting round.
Shortlisted teams will be announced on the DJSS4DS Instagram Story at 9:00 PM, October 12th. Only shortlisted teams will advance to the on-campus marathon.
