About this hackathon
Private markets still run on spreadsheets, PDFs and endless back-and-forth. On 5–6 September, Ylookup and Encode are bringing together 100 builders at Encode Hub for an intensive weekend focused on changing that.Participants will compete across two tracks. The Research Track challenges teams to push AI models further by building sys1 line destems capable of generating complex Excel formulas and tackling the kinds of spreadsheet workflows used across the private-markets industry. The Product Track focuses on building new tools around real problems faced by fund managers. Teams will work with anonymised industry data, speak directly with users through live fund-manager interviews and turn those insights into working products over the course of the weekend.Throughout the hackathon, builders will have access to mentors, office hours and industry expertise to help refine both their technical approach and their product thinking. The event is application-based, with teams of up to four people. Participants can apply individually or as a team.Prizes will include $500,000 worth of items, alongside an opportunity to pitch to investors.Come ready to build, test ideas against real users and rethink the infrastructure behind private markets.
