Quant-A-Maze 3.0: 36-Hour National-Level Hackathon Quant-A-Maze 3.0 is a 36-hour national-level hackathon organized by Q-Bits, the Quantum Technology Club of Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Nitte (deemed to be university), Bangalore, bringing together student innovators, developers, and technology enthusiasts to build solutions using emerging technologies. The hackathon challenges participants to Code, Create, Collaborate, and Compete by solving real-world problems through innovative, technically grounded solutions. Quant-A-Maze 3.0 provides participants with an opportunity to explore the intersection of quantum technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, blockchain, and emerging computing paradigms through hands-on problem-solving. Registration Fee Details: Round 1 (Online PPT Submission): Free registration. Round 2 (36-Hour On-Campus): Shortlisted candidates will need to pay ₹800 per team. The above fee will be used for hospitality and accommodation, including meals from Day 1 evening to Day 3 breakfast, accommodation, goodies, T-shirts, and infrastructure. Important Dates: Registration: 7th September to 28th September 2026 Phase 1 Online Round: 7th September to 28th September 2026 Phase 1 Results: 3rd October 2026 Phase 2 Offline Round: 28th to 30th October 2026 Final Results: 30th October 2026 Rules: Teams must participate in only one track. All development must happen during the hackathon duration. Pre-built or previously developed projects are not allowed. Plagiarism or copying will lead to disqualification. Judges’ decision will be final and binding. Additional Guidelines: Participants must bring: Laptops (mandatory) Extension boxes Solutions must demonstrate: Working prototype Clear real-world application SDGs and societal impact Eligibility: Open to all undergraduate students. Students from all branches and disciplines are eligible to participate. Inter-college teams are allowed. Inter-disciplinary teams are encouraged. Team size: 3–4 members per team. Tracks: Quantum Machine Learning (QML) Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Web3 & Blockchain Generative AI & Machine Learning Competition Format: The hackathon will be conducted through multiple phases: Phase 1: Registration & Initial Submission of Proposal in PPT Format Participants register for the hackathon during the registration window. Teams will work on their proposed problem statement/solution based on the four tracks. Submissions will be evaluated for progression to the next phase, with high weightage on societal and sustainable impact. Phase 1 Results: Shortlisted teams will be announced on 3rd October 2026. Phase 2: 36-Hour Offline Hackathon Shortlisted teams will participate in the 36-hour hackathon from 28th to 30th October 2026 at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Nitte (deemed to be university). Participants will be encouraged to demonstrate technical implementation, innovation, and real-world applicability. Final Results: The final results will be announced on 30th October 2026. Evaluation: Projects will be evaluated based on factors such as: Sustainable Development (SDG) Societal Welfare Innovation and originality Problem relevance Technical implementation Effective use of the selected technology track Real-world applicability Overall quality of the solution and presentation The final evaluation criteria and weightage will be communicated by the organizing team. Prize Pool: Total Cash Prize Pool: ₹1,00,000 1st Place: ₹50,000 cash prize + a 2-year CodeCrafters VIP membership for each winning team member. 2nd Place: ₹30,000 cash prize + a 1-year CodeCrafters VIP membership for each winning team member. 3rd Place: ₹20,000 cash prize + a 6-month CodeCrafters VIP membership for each winning team member. CodeCrafters’ VIP tier includes unrestricted access to its learning content, instant-feedback “Turbo tests,” code examples, priority support, and member perks. About Q-Bits: Q-Bits is the official Quantum Technology Club of Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore, anchored within the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering. The club conducts technical, academic, and industry-driven initiatives including hackathons, workshops, expert sessions, faculty development programs, value-added courses, student projects, internships, and research opportunities in quantum and emerging technologies.
