About this hackathon
🎮 Build a game where meaning is the mechanic!
Join Qdrant Vector Quest: AI-Powered Game Development Hackathon, a two-day experience for graduate students. Work in teams of 2–3 to create a playable game where Qdrant vector search drives the gameplay—from semantic puzzles to characters that remember and react.
No prior experience with Qdrant or vector search is required. An introductory workshop, starter resources, and mentors will help you get started.

Attendance and participation are required on both days. Please register only if you can attend both sessions in full.

Who Should Join
Currently enrolled graduate students interested in AI, game development, and hands-on collaboration. Teams consist of 2–3 students. Joining solo? We’ll help match you with a team at check-in.
GRADUATE STUDENTS FROM ALL COLLEGES ARE WELCOME
The Challenge
Build a playable game that uses Qdrant vector search as a core gameplay mechanic. You may use any programming language or game engine, and AI coding assistants are welcome.
Each team will submit:
A playable gameA code repository with a README and instructions for running the gameA demo video of up to 2 minutes showing real gameplay and explaining how Qdrant powers it
🏆 The Prize
The first-place team will receive a $2,000 cash prize. Judges will evaluate submissions based on the use of vector search, gameplay and fun, technical execution, creativity, and the clarity of the demo and explanation.
