Theme: Build for a Better Tomorrow
Build technology that solves meaningful problems. Choose a track that interests your team and develop an innovative, practical solution.
1. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Build intelligent applications that improve productivity, automate tasks, support decision-making, or solve real-world problems using AI and machine learning.
Example ideas: AI study assistant, document summarizer, intelligent accessibility tool, or workflow automation.
2. Education and Student Innovation
Use technology to make learning more accessible, personalized, and effective.
Example ideas: peer-learning platforms, study planners, skill-development tools, or student collaboration systems.
3. Sustainability and Environment
Develop solutions for environmental awareness, waste reduction, resource management, and sustainable communities.
Example ideas: waste segregation assistant, energy monitoring dashboard, or campus sustainability tracker.
4. Smart Society and Social Impact
Solve everyday problems faced by communities through accessible and useful technology.
Example ideas: local issue reporting, public transport information, accessibility solutions, or community resource platforms.
5. Open Innovation
Have an idea that doesn't fit the other tracks? Build something original that solves a clearly defined problem and demonstrates meaningful value.
Teams may use relevant technologies such as web development, mobile development, AI and machine learning, cloud computing, APIs, and open-source tools.
These are suggested tracks and example ideas, not mandatory problem statements. Final track rules will be shared by the organizers.

First Place: ₹12,000
Second Place: ₹8,000
Third Place: ₹5,000
Total Prize Pool: ₹25,000
Prize distribution is subject to the final event rules and confirmed funding. Any additional rewards, sponsor credits, or special awards will be announced officially.
Who Can Participate?
Students from colleges and universities.
Solo participants and teams of up to four members.
Beginners and experienced builders alike.
Participants interested in coding, design, AI, product development, and innovation.
Cross-college and interdisciplinary teams are welcome, subject to the final registration rules.
How It Works
Step 1 — Register: Complete the free registration process.
Step 2 — Form Your Team: Participate solo or create a team of 2–4 members.
Step 3 — Build: Develop a project during the official 48-hour hackathon period.
Step 4 — Submit: Share your project repository, description, and demo before the deadline.
Step 5 — Get Evaluated: Judges assess submissions using the published scoring criteria.
Step 6 — Winners Announced: Final results will be shared through official NexHack channels.
Project Submission Requirements
Each team must submit:
Project name and selected track.
Problem statement and proposed solution.
Project description and key features.
GitHub repository or equivalent source-code link.
README with setup instructions and technology stack.
Demo video or working demo link.
Brief explanation of each team member's contribution.
Projects must comply with the final submission guidelines and deadline announced by the organizers.
Judging Criteria
Projects will be evaluated out of 100 points:
Innovation and Originality — 20 points
Problem Relevance — 20 points
Technical Implementation — 25 points
Potential Impact — 20 points
Presentation and Demo — 15 points
The judges' decisions will be final. Tie-breaking rules and the final judging process will be published in the official guidelines.
Rules and Guidelines
Each participant may register for only one team.
Teams must follow the announced team-size and eligibility requirements.
Projects must be original and comply with the event's development rules.
Existing libraries, APIs, frameworks, and permitted open-source components may be used, with appropriate attribution.
AI tools may be used, but significant AI assistance and third-party components should be disclosed where required.
Plagiarism, fraudulent submissions, harassment, or misrepresentation may result in disqualification.
Teams must submit all required materials before the official deadline.
Participants must follow the organizers' code of conduct and final event guidelines.
Prize eligibility and certificate requirements will be determined by the published rules.
Certificates and Recognition
Eligible participants will receive digital participation certificates in accordance with the announced requirements. Winning teams will receive winner recognition, and finalist or special-award certificates may be offered if announced by the organizers.
