Hackathon Guidelines: Eligibility & Team Team Composition: Minimum 3 members and maximum 5 members. Team Leader: Each team must designate one leader. Cross-College Teams Allowed: Members can be from different colleges. Restriction: A student can participate in only one team. Competition Structure: Idea Submission Open: Opens: 10 Sept 2026, 11:07 PM IST Teams must upload a presentation (PPT/PDF) before 3rd Oct 2026 describing their problem statement and proposed solution in the format given below. PPT Format must include: Problem details Innovative approach Feasibility and implementation plan Expected impact Idea Submission Deadline: Deadline: 30 Sept 2026, 12:00 AM IST Teams must complete registration and idea submission before the deadline. Each team must have 3–5 members with one designated leader. Cross-college teams are allowed. A participant can join only one team. Round 1 – Idea Presentation: Date: 08 Oct 2026, 11:08 PM IST Teams will present their ideas before the evaluation panel. Judging Criteria: Creativity, technical depth, feasibility, and potential impact. Round 1 – Final Selection List: Announcement: 09 Oct 2026, 09:00 AM IST Shortlisted teams will be announced. Only these teams qualify for Round 2. Registration for Round 2: Deadline: 15 Oct 2026, 09:00 AM IST Only shortlisted teams from Round 1 can register. Registration Fee: ₹1000 per head (non-refundable) Round 2 – Offline Hackathon (24-Hour Challenge): Start: 01 Nov 2026, 09:00 AM IST End: 02 Nov 2026, 09:00 AM IST Teams will work continuously for 24 hours to develop their prototype. Evaluation will be based on innovation, execution, teamwork, and applicability. Prize Distribution & Winner Announcement: Date: 02 Nov 2026, 01:00 PM IST Results will be declared after evaluation. Winning teams will receive prizes, certificates, and recognition during the closing ceremony. Themes & Broad Problem Areas: Problem Statements Track 1: Edge AI & Computer Vision PS-01: AI-Based Smart Campus Safety SystemDevelop an edge-AI solution that can detect potentially unsafe situations such as crowding, falls, unauthorized entry, or abnormal activity using cameras and provide real-time alerts without continuously sending sensitive video data to the cloud. PS-02: Intelligent Road Hazard DetectionDevelop an on-device computer vision system that identifies potholes, road cracks, obstacles, pedestrians, and other hazards in real time and provides alerts to drivers or authorities. PS-03: AI-Based Waste SegregationBuild an intelligent system capable of identifying different categories of waste using computer vision and automatically assisting in segregation at the point of disposal. PS-04: Smart Retail Shelf MonitoringDevelop an edge-AI solution that detects empty shelves, misplaced products, and inventory conditions using cameras and provides real-time notifications. Track 2: Healthcare & Assistive Technology PS-05: AI-Powered Assistive System for Visually Impaired PeopleDevelop a portable intelligent device that uses computer vision and on-device AI to identify obstacles, objects, signs, or people and communicate useful information through audio or haptic feedback. PS-06: Edge AI-Based Elderly Fall DetectionDevelop a privacy-preserving system that detects when an elderly person falls and automatically generates an emergency alert without requiring continuous cloud processing. PS-07: Intelligent Stress & Wellness MonitorDevelop an edge-AI system that analyzes physiological or behavioral signals to estimate stress/wellness levels in real time and provide personalized recommendations. PS-08: Smart Medicine Management SystemDevelop an intelligent connected device that helps users manage medication schedules, detects missed doses, and provides alerts to caregivers when necessary. Track 3: Smart City & Sustainability PS-09: Intelligent Traffic ManagementDevelop an edge-AI system that analyzes traffic conditions in real time and dynamically recommends signal timing or traffic-routing strategies to reduce congestion. PS-10: Smart Energy OptimizationBuild an IoT and Edge AI solution that monitors electricity consumption and intelligently recommends or automatically implements energy-saving actions. PS-11: AI-Based Water Leakage DetectionDevelop a sensor-based intelligent system that detects abnormal water flow or leakage and generates real-time alerts to minimize water wastage. PS-12: Smart Air Quality MonitoringDevelop a low-cost connected device that monitors environmental parameters and uses edge intelligence to identify pollution patterns and provide actionable alerts. Track 4: Smart Mobility & Robotics PS-13: Intelligent Autonomous Delivery RobotDesign a small autonomous robot capable of navigating a defined environment, avoiding obstacles, identifying its destination, and safely delivering objects. PS-14: AI-Based Driver Assistance SystemDevelop an edge-AI solution capable of detecting driver distraction, drowsiness, lane departure, or nearby obstacles and generating timely warnings. PS-15: Smart Agricultural RoverDevelop an autonomous agricultural robot that can monitor crops, identify plant health conditions, detect weeds, or assist with precision agriculture. PS-16: Search-and-Rescue Intelligent RobotDevelop a robotic system capable of navigating hazardous or difficult environments while detecting people, obstacles, temperature anomalies, or other indicators useful during rescue operations. Track 5: Connected Intelligence & IoT PS-17: Smart Home Energy GuardianDevelop an intelligent IoT system that monitors household appliances and automatically identifies unnecessary energy consumption and abnormal usage patterns. PS-18: Intelligent Industrial Monitoring SystemDevelop an edge-IoT solution that monitors machines using sensors and detects abnormal operating conditions before equipment failure occurs. PS-19: Smart Agriculture Monitoring PlatformBuild an IoT system that monitors soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and other agricultural parameters and uses AI to recommend irrigation or crop-management actions. PS-20: Connected Disaster Alert SystemDevelop a resilient IoT-based system capable of detecting conditions such as floods, fires, earthquakes, or other environmental hazards and distributing local emergency alerts even when conventional connectivity is limited
