About this hackathon
All that you need to know about Multirotor
Rules:
Team Structure:
Each team must consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 members.
Participants from different colleges can form a team.
Model Regulations:
Each team must have its own custom-built drone; exchanging models between teams is strictly prohibited.
RTF (Ready-To-Fly) models are not allowed, but pre-programmed boards can be used.
Only one model can be used throughout all competition rounds.
Flight and Conduct Rules:
No trial attempts are allowed in Round 1, but teams can have a 2-minute trial before Round 2.
Lifting the drone manually to improve position during any round is not allowed.
Any failed landing attempt that does not result in a score immediately ends the round.
The competition organizers and judges hold the final decision on any disputes.
Event Structure:
Round 1:
Teams must fly their drone through 5 circular rings placed at varying heights (between 1 meter to 2.5 meters).
Each ring carries different points based on difficulty.
Teams must avoid touching the rings to earn points.
Skipping a ring results in no points but does not incur a penalty.
Maximum time for completion: 8 minutes.
Qualification Criteria: Teams with the highest scores will advance to Round 2.
Round 2:
Obstacle Navigation: Teams must maneuver through multiple obstacles, which will be disclosed on the spot.
Payload Task:
The onboard camera scans a QR code to identify a specific payload.
If scanning fails, teams can receive the QR details manually but will lose detection points.
The identified payload must be dropped into a designated area.
No penalty for unsuccessful drops, but no points are awarded either.
