About this hackathon

Micromouse Challenge — Navigate the Maze, Beat the Clock Build an autonomous robot that can map and solve a 10×10 grid maze on its own — no remote control, no manual input. Just your bot, its sensors, and its code against the clock. Registration fees: Rs. 350https://formbuilder.ccavenue.com/live/ccavenue/manipal-university-jaipur-2/techideat-2026-202622 Payment Confirmation link:https://forms.gle/PG5SBptsQ16GA1Fv9Completion of these forms is mandatory. Format Maze: 6.5 ft × 6.5 ft, 10×10 grid, 198mm cells Path width: 192mm | Wall height: 100mm Each robot gets multiple runs within a fixed time window — a search run to map the maze, followed by speed run(s) on the mapped route Your fastest successful run determines your rank Eligibility Open to individuals and teams of 2-5 Robot must be self-built and self-navigating — fully autonomous once released at the start cell Robot must fit within a 19×19 cm bounding box and stay under 90mm in height Rules No manual or remote control once a run begins No external positioning aids (e.g., overhead cameras directing the robot) Robot must stay within the maze path at all times — no jumping, flying, or climbing over walls Any wall collision incurs a time penalty; repeated or damaging collisions may disqualify the run Robots are subject to inspection before competing Process Register your team and robot details Report for inspection on competition day Compete in your allotted run slots (search + speed runs) Fastest valid completion time wins Safety All robots must have an accessible power switch LiPo batteries must be declared and transported in fire-resistant casesKindly refer to the attached guidelines to make your micrmouse.
