About this hackathon
Guidelines
Eligibility: Open to college students interested in robotics, electronics, automation, and autonomous systems.
Team Size: Each team must consist of 2–4 members.
Inter-college Teams: Members from different colleges may participate as a team, subject to organiser approval.
Inter-specialization Teams: Students from different engineering specializations/branches may form a team.
Event Type: Robotics competition based on an autonomous line-following robot.
Challenge: Participants must design and operate an autonomous bot capable of following a predefined track while navigating turns and track variations with speed, precision, and accuracy.
Number of Problem Statements: One main line-following challenge/track is conducted, with the robot being evaluated based on its performance on the given track.
Duration: The event duration is 3 hours.
Maximum Teams: 24 teams can participate.
Event Date: 14–16 October 2026; the Line Follower slot is scheduled for 5:00 PM–8:00 PM on 14 October 2026.
Registration: Registration requires organiser approval. The registration fee is ₹200 per team, payable online by the team lead.
Rules
The robot must be autonomous and should follow the designated track without manual control.
Participants must bring/build a robot capable of detecting and following the given line.
The robot must remain within the designated track/path while completing the course.
Teams must follow the track and instructions provided by the event organisers.
Any form of external/manual intervention during the run may result in penalties or disqualification, as per the official rulebook.
Teams must ensure that their robot complies with the technical and safety requirements specified by the organisers.
Only registered team members are permitted to participate in the competition.
Participants must report to the venue before their allotted time and follow the instructions of the event coordinators.
The organisers reserve the right to modify the track, timings, or competition procedure if required.
The decision of the event coordinators/judges regarding competition results and rule violations will be final.
Participants are expected to maintain proper discipline and ensure that their activities do not cause damage to the venue, track, equipment, or other teams' robots.
