About the Hackathon:
KRIYOVA – PROJECT-Q 24-Hours Hackathon 2026 is a technology and innovation challenge conducted as part of PROJECT-Q – Virtual Lab Ceremony, bringing together students, developers, innovators, and technology enthusiasts to conceptualize, develop, and demonstrate technology-driven solutions to relevant real-world challenges.
The hackathon provides participants with an intensive 24-hour development environment, enabling them to progress from problem identification and ideation to solution development, testing, and demonstration. Participants are encouraged to apply technical knowledge, emerging technologies, and interdisciplinary approaches to develop solutions that demonstrate innovation, practical relevance, technical feasibility, and potential real-world impact.
KRIYOVA emphasizes structured problem-solving, collaborative development, experimentation, and the transformation of ideas into functional and demonstrable solutions.
Theme:
Question. Explore. Create.
Participants are encouraged to identify meaningful challenges and develop innovative, technology-driven solutions addressing contemporary needs.
Solutions may address challenges across Quantum Computing, Cybersecurity, and Climate Technology, with emphasis on clear problem definition, appropriate technological implementation, practical applicability, and potential for further development.
Interdisciplinary solutions combining multiple domains are also encouraged where relevant.
Domains:
Participants may develop solutions in one or more of the following domains:
Quantum Computing:
Participants may explore:
Quantum algorithms and applications
Quantum simulation and computation
Quantum-enhanced solutions
Quantum education and accessibility
Real-world applications of quantum technologies
Cybersecurity:
Participants may address:
Cybersecurity awareness and protection
Secure systems and applications
Threat detection and prevention
Privacy and data protection
Digital security and resilience
Security-focused technology solutions
Climate Technology:
Participants may develop technology-driven solutions addressing climate and environmental challenges, including:
Renewable and clean energy
Energy efficiency and optimization
Environmental monitoring
Sustainable resource management
Waste reduction and circular solutions
Climate adaptation and resilience
Technology-enabled environmental sustainability
Teams may focus on a single domain or develop interdisciplinary solutions combining multiple domains.
Event Flow:
Registration & Briefing: Participants complete the registration process and receive information regarding the challenge, event guidelines, evaluation criteria, schedule, and submission requirements.
Problem Identification & Ideation: Teams identify a relevant problem and establish the objectives, proposed approach, and intended outcomes of their solution.
24-Hour Development: Teams design, develop, test, and refine their proposed solutions during the designated 24-hour development period.
Prototype Demonstration: Teams demonstrate their developed solution and explain its functionality, technical approach, implementation, and practical relevance.
Final Presentation & Evaluation: Teams present their solutions before the evaluation panel and respond to questions concerning the problem addressed, technical implementation, innovation, feasibility, impact, and future scope.
Evaluation Criteria:
Projects may be evaluated on:
Problem Understanding & Relevance
Innovation & Originality
Technical Implementation
Functionality & Demonstration
Feasibility & Practical Applicability
User Experience & Usability
Potential Impact & Scalability
Presentation & Communication
The evaluation process will consider both the quality of the proposed solution and the team's ability to clearly communicate its technical and practical aspects.
Guidelines:
Registration Fee: ₹699 per team
Team Size: 1–3 participants
Each participant may be a member of only one team.
Teams may comprise participants from multidisciplinary academic or technical backgrounds.
Proposed solutions should be relevant to at least one of the specified domains.
Participants may use appropriate programming languages, frameworks, libraries, platforms, APIs, development environments, and other permissible technological resources.
All submitted work must be original and developed by the participating team.
Plagiarism, unauthorized copying, or submission of substantially pre-existing work may result in disqualification.
Teams must comply with the prescribed event schedule, submission requirements, and instructions issued by the organizing committee.
Teams must be prepared to demonstrate their solution during the final evaluation.
Participants may be required to explain their technical approach, implementation decisions, and future development scope.
The decision of the evaluation panel and organizing committee shall be final.
