About the Hackathon Kannada Digital Innovation Hackathon 2026 is an initiative to bring together students, developers, designers, and innovators to build meaningful digital solutions that promote Kannada language, Karnataka's rich culture, heritage, tourism, and regional development. Participants can choose from the provided problem statements and develop innovative technology solutions using web development, mobile applications, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and other relevant technologies. The objective is to transform ideas into practical solutions that make a positive impact on Karnataka and its people. Development and Submission Timeline Participants are permitted to begin reviewing the problem statements and implementing their solutions from the date they are released. The official project submission window on Unstop will open on 24 October 2026 at 12:00 AM IST and close on 25 October 2026 at 10:00 PM IST. All required project deliverables must be submitted through Unstop within the official submission window. What Participants Need to Do Review the available problem statements. Select one problem statement and develop a relevant solution. Build a functional prototype or minimum viable product. Document the features, implementation, and technologies used. Submit the project and required supporting materials through Unstop before the deadline. Voice of Kannada Develop a voice-based application that enables users to speak in Kannada and receive meaningful responses, pronunciation feedback, or language-learning assistance. Kannada in Everyday Life Develop a technology solution that helps people learn and use Kannada in real-world situations such as travelling, shopping, education, healthcare, transportation, and workplaces. Namma Kannada — Regional Language Explorer Develop an interactive platform to document and explore regional variations of Kannada, including local words, phrases, expressions, pronunciation, and cultural context. Kannada Text Digitization Develop a solution that converts Kannada text from images, scanned documents, or handwritten material into searchable digital text and makes the content easier to understand and access.  6.AI Travel Planner for Karnataka Develop an AI-powered travel planner that creates personalized Karnataka itineraries based on a traveller’s interests, available time, budget, and preferred type of experience.
