Event Details Date: 22 October 2026 (11:00 AM – 6:30 PM), continuing 23 October 2026 (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM) Venue: NEWGEN IEDC, I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida Registration Fee: ₹300 per team member Prize Pool: ₹15,000 Team Size: 3 participants per team Coordinator: Mr. Anubhav Tripathi Event Description The Junior Hackathon invites school students to form teams and register under either the Software or Hardware category. Problem statements are released 72 hours before the event, giving teams time to prepare, though official hacking time begins only after passing an initial screening round. Participants must bring their own laptops, hardware components, hosting setups, or other required materials, though event-provided equipment may be available under special circumstances. To keep a student-friendly schedule, the hackathon runs from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Day 1, pauses overnight so participants can rest at home, and resumes on Day 2. Guidelines Registered participants must reach the venue on time Students must carry their school ID cards for cross-verification Teams must come prepared with a presentation (ppt/pdf format) of their idea, submitted to the organizing team 10–15 minutes before the event begins Round 1: Idea Presentation — each team gets 5 minutes to pitch their solution, followed by a 2-minute Q&A with the judges Round 2: Build & Prototype Evaluation — shortlisted teams construct their working prototypes and are evaluated on final execution and team dynamics Judging Criteria Round 1 Judging Criteria Innovation – 25% Feasibility – 20% Impact – 20% Problem Identification – 15% Presentation – 10% Scalability – 10% Round 2 Judging Criteria Problem Solved / Solution Goal Achieved — how effectively the working prototype solves the core problem and meets the initial pitch goals UI/UX & Design — visual appeal, user-friendliness, intuitive interface design (or hardware ergonomics/build quality) Responsiveness & Functionality — system stability, speed, cross-device responsiveness, and operational execution Team Involvement — collaboration, clear division of labor, and active contribution from all team members Disqualification The final decision rests entirely with the jury and organizing committee.
