IIITD Programming League: IIITD Programming League (IPL) is the competitive programming league organized by the Tech Council, IIIT Delhi. Modelled on a knockout format, the league brings together some of the strongest competitive programmers from across the country to face off in head-to-head 1v1 battles of algorithms, speed, and problem-solving. Unlike a traditional contest where hundreds of participants solve the same set, IPL pits two programmers against each other in every match. Each round raises the difficulty and the stakes, until a single champion remains. The event is open to students from all institutions and academic backgrounds, provided they meet the shortlisting criteria. Event Highlights: National-Level Competitive Programming League Offline Knockout Finale at IIIT Delhi Head-to-Head 1v1 Format No Registration Fee Total Prize Pool of ₹1,00,000+ Cash Prize Pool of ₹60,000+ Additional In-Kind Rewards and Credits Competition Format: IPL will be conducted in two rounds. Round 1: Shortlisting Round 1 shortlisting will be based on competitive programming profiles. Approximately 200 participants will be shortlisted for the offline league at IIIT Delhi. Shortlisting will be based on: Competitive programming profile and ratings (Codeforces, CodeChef, AtCoder, LeetCode, etc.) Contest participation history and consistency Notable achievements Any other relevant proof of problem-solving ability submitted with the application Round 2: Elimination Rounds Round 2 will consist of elimination rounds at IIIT Delhi, held as 1v1 matches. Details will be shared with the shortlisted participants. Match Format: Each match is a 1v1 duel between two programmers on a shared problem set. Tie-breaker rules will be defined by the organizing team. Shortlisting & Registration Guidelines: Registration is done through Unstop. Participants must submit links to their competitive programming profiles. Only individual participation is allowed. Approximately 200 participants will be shortlisted based on profile evaluation. Shortlisted participants will be notified via email and official channels. Offline League Experience (Only For Shortlisted Finalists): Opening Ceremony: Introduction to the league, rules, match format, bracket reveal, and judging/adjudication process. Elimination Rounds: Live 1v1 matches across all rounds, with brackets updated in real time. Semi-Finals & Grand Final: The final participants will compete in high-stakes showdowns, culminating in the Grand Final to crown the IPL champion. Closing Ceremony: Announcement of winners and distribution of prizes. A detailed schedule will be released closer to the event. Prize Pool: Total Prize Pool of ₹1,00,000+ Cash Prize Pool: ₹60,000+ Additional In-Kind Rewards and Credits Prize distribution details will be announced closer to the event. Participants must compete individually, without external assistance. Use of AI tools, unauthorized resources, or communication with others during matches is strictly prohibited. Any form of plagiarism, cheating, or unfair means will lead to immediate disqualification. The decision of the organizing team and judges will be final. Any violation of event guidelines may result in disqualification.
