HERHACK 2026 — National Level Women-Focused Hackathon:
HERHACK 2026 is a 36-hour national-level hackathon organized at Echelon Institute of Technology, Faridabad, bringing together student innovators and developers to build impactful technology solutions for real-world problems.
The hackathon provides participants with an opportunity to ideate, build, collaborate, and present innovative solutions across four technology tracks.

Age Eligibility: 18 years and above
Tracks:
Participants can build their solution under one of the following four official tracks:
1. WEB3 / BLOCKCHAIN:
Build decentralized and trust-driven solutions using blockchain, smart contracts, Web3 infrastructure, decentralized identity, digital assets, and related technologies.
2. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI):
Build intelligent solutions using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Computer Vision, NLP, AI Agents, predictive systems, and related technologies.
3. INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT):
Build connected hardware and software solutions involving sensors, embedded systems, automation, edge computing, smart environments, and IoT platforms.
4. STUDENT INNOVATION:
Build innovative technology solutions addressing meaningful real-world problems. This is a broad track for ideas that do not naturally fit into the other three technical tracks.
Special Winner — Women Safety:
In addition to the four main tracks, HERHACK 2026 will recognize ONE Special Winner for the strongest solution focused on Women Safety.
Special Winner — Women Safety
Prize: ₹20,000
Women Safety is NOT a separate fifth track.
A Women Safety project must still belong to one of the four official tracks and can additionally compete for the Women Safety Special Winner award.
Prizes:
Each of the four official tracks will have three winners:
1st Place — ₹20,000
2nd Place — ₹15,000
3rd Place — ₹10,000
With four tracks, the total track-wise prize distribution is ₹1,80,000.

Eligibility:
Participants must be 18 years or older.
Team size must be between 2 and 5 members.
Participants may form teams with members from different colleges/institutions.
The event is open to eligible student innovators and developers.
Registration is free.
Participants must register through the official registration process.
Every team must submit a project developed during the hackathon as per the official rules.
Hackathon Format:
HERHACK 2026 follows a build-and-present hackathon format.
Participants will:
Register for the hackathon.
Form a team of 2–5 members.
Select a relevant track/problem statement.
Develop their solution during the designated hackathon period.
Maintain a public repository for their project.
Submit the required project details and deliverables.
Present/demo their solution to the judging panel.
Projects will be evaluated according to the official judging criteria.
Winners will be announced for each track along with the Women Safety Special Winner.
Problem Statements:
HERHACK 2026 features a diverse set of problem statements across the four official tracks.
Participants should select a problem statement or develop an eligible solution aligned with the selected track and hackathon guidelines.
The selected problem statement/solution must be clearly reflected in the final submission.
Project Requirements:
Projects must be developed within the hackathon timeline.
Previously built/old projects are not permitted.
Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
Teams must maintain a public GitHub repository for their project.
The repository must follow the prescribed HERHACK project naming format where applicable.
Teams must maintain a proper README explaining their project.
Teams must submit a project demonstration video as required.
A presentation deck may be required for final evaluation.
Maximum PPT length: 10 slides.
Teams must be prepared to demonstrate their working solution to the judges.
Judging:
Projects will be evaluated by the designated judging panel based on factors such as:
Innovation and originality
Relevance to the selected problem/track
Technical implementation
Functionality and working prototype
Impact and usefulness
Scalability and feasibility
Quality of presentation and demonstration
The final decision of the judging panel will be considered final.
The Women Safety Special Winner will be selected based on the strength, innovation, impact, and effectiveness of the solution specifically addressing Women Safety.
Important Rules:
No plagiarism or copied projects.
Previously developed projects are not eligible.
The project must be developed during the hackathon period.
Teams must comply with the official submission requirements.
Public GitHub repository is mandatory where specified.
Participants must follow the prescribed project naming and submission format.
Misrepresentation, plagiarism, or violation of hackathon rules may lead to disqualification.
Teams must ensure that their project does not violate applicable laws, third-party rights, or platform policies.
Organizers reserve the right to disqualify submissions that violate the rules.
