About this hackathon
Come along to Wimbletech for more making, coding, and chat.

HackWimbledon is a “pop-up hackspace” - we have a regular home at Wimbletech, but we don’t have a permanent workshop space with a fixed set of equipment. Sometimes, we may have a spare Raspberry Pi or loaner laptop, but generally speaking, folks should bring their own kit and project to work on.
You’re really going to want to bring something (a laptop, physical project, electronics kit etc) with you - it will be a lot less interesting otherwise! Members of the group are interested in a range of different maker topics, including electronics, coding, robotics, 3D printing, physical electronic games, home automation, retro computing, and more. If you’ve got a project you’re working on and are looking for ideas or advice, there’s often someone with experience who can help.
We don’t have a fixed agenda for our meetups. Sometimes, there might be a Show and Tell talk. Generally, people bring along their latest projects. We work on our own things, occasionally collaborate on an idea, and chat about how best to bring our hacks to life.
