About the Event:
What if every great idea had 24 hours to become something real?
HackShift is a two-stage hackathon that challenges students to identify real-world problems, propose innovative solutions, and transform their ideas into working prototypes.
The journey begins with an online solution submission round, where participants choose one of four problem statements and submit a 5–6 slide proposal in PDF format.
The strongest teams will be shortlisted for the 24-hour offline hackathon at IIIT Delhi on 17th–18th October 2026.
At the offline round, shortlisted teams will get the opportunity to build, experiment, collaborate, receive mentorship, and present their working solutions to a panel of judges.
The HackShift Journey:
Choose → Ideate → Submit → Get Shortlisted → Build → Demo → Pitch

Problem Statements — Online Round:
The following four problem statements are exclusively for the Online Submission Round.

The submitted proposals will be evaluated during the online round, and the shortlisted teams will advance to the 24-hour Offline Hackathon at IIIT Delhi.
PS 1 — EventRoute: Navigate the Opportunity:
College events happen across campuses, but students often struggle to discover where events are happening and plan how to reach them.
Build a solution that helps students discover inter-college events geographically and plan their journey from their college to the event.
PS 2 — CampusConnect: Connect Beyond Campus:
Student communities across colleges often operate in isolation, making it difficult to discover relevant organizations, promote events, and establish collaborations.
Build a platform that enables colleges and student communities to connect, collaborate, and promote opportunities across campuses.
PS 3 — EventRank: Discover What’s Worth Attending:
Students encounter numerous college events but often lack reliable information to decide which ones are relevant and worth attending.
Build a solution that helps students discover, evaluate, compare, and review events using meaningful information and community feedback.
PS 4 — MyCampus: Your Event Journey:
Students register for multiple events, competitions, workshops, hackathons, and conferences, but their registrations, deadlines, venues, and schedules are scattered across different platforms.
Build a solution that brings a student's event journey into one organized and intelligent timeline.
Important:
These problem statements apply ONLY to the Online Submission Round.
The problem statements/themes for the 24-hour Offline Hackathon will be communicated to the shortlisted teams separately, as per the official event process.
