HACKIIITD 2026 National Level 24-Hour Hackathon Organised by Tech Council, IIIT Delhi, as part of Esya '26, the official tech fest of IIIT Delhi, on 24th and 25th October. About HackIIITD HackIIITD is the flagship national level hackathon organized by the Tech Council, IIIT Delhi. Designed to bring together some of the brightest student innovators, developers, designers, and problem-solvers from across the country, HackIIITD aims to create an environment where ideas evolve into impactful technological solutions. The event is open to participants from all academic backgrounds and institutions, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. Event Highlights National Level Hackathon 24 Hour Offline Grand Finale Participation Open Across India No Registration Fee Cash Prize Pool of ₹70,000+ Additional In Kind Rewards and Credits Event Theme Round 1 is open innovation. There are no fixed problem statements, so teams choose a real-world problem in any domain of technology and propose their own solution. The finale will have separate problem statements, which will be shared with shortlisted teams. Competition Format HackIIITD will be conducted in two rounds. Round 1: Online Idea Submission All registered teams will be required to submit a presentation deck through Unstop. They can choose any problem statement of their own, but need to explicitly explain their problem statement in details. The submission should clearly communicate: Team Details Problem Statement Proposed Solution Target Users Technical Architecture and Stack Scalability, Feasibility and Use Case MVP / Prototype (if available) Following evaluation, approximately 60-70 teams will be shortlisted for the offline grand finale at IIIT Delhi. Round 2: Offline Grand Finale Shortlisted teams come to IIIT Delhi for a 24-hour hackathon during Esya '26.Note: There will be different problem statements for the finale than the ones you used in online round. During the finale, teams will: Build their solutions Interact with mentors Participate in mentoring checkpoints Receive technical and product feedback Demonstrate their working solutions Present their final projects before the judging panel The finale will focus on execution, innovation, scalability, and overall impact. Submission Guidelines Teams must submit a PPT/PDF presentation through Unstop for Round 1.Recommended structure: around 7 to 8 slides in total (Not more than that) Total: 25 Marks The highest-scoring teams will advance to the offline finals.(Please note that scores will not be released due to confidentiality) Offline Finale Experience The offline round will consist of: Opening Ceremony Introduction to the event, rules, judging process, and mentor network. Hackathon Sprint Teams begin building and refining their solutions. Mentorship Sessions Multiple mentor rounds will be conducted throughout the event.Participants will have opportunities to: Validate ideas Improve technical implementation Receive product feedback Discuss scaling strategies Improve presentations and demos Final Demonstrations Teams will present their completed solutions before the judging panel. Closing Ceremony Announcement of winners and distribution of prizes. A detailed schedule will be released closer to the event. Prize Pool Total Prize Pool: ₹1,50,000+ Cash Prize Pool: ₹70,000+ Prize distribution details will be announced closer to the event. Eligibility: Open to students across India No age restriction Participants from any academic background may apply Cross-college teams are allowed Team size must be 3–4 members Solo participation is not permitted No registration fee Team Requirements Each team must: Consist of 3–4 members Register through Unstop Submit their Round 1 presentation before the deadline Ensure all team details are correctly filled during registration Any violation of event guidelines may result in disqualification.
