Description
Hackathon Phase 1 is the festival’s flagship online coding competition and the first major project-building stage for shortlisted participants. Participants work individually or in teams, as permitted by the official event rules, to develop practical quantum-computing projects using approved software, simulators, cloud platforms and available quantum-hardware resources.
Participants are expected to design, implement, test and document their solutions and submit the required project deliverables before the announced deadline. Submissions will be checked for eligibility and compliance and evaluated using the published judging criteria.

Rules & Guidelines
1. Eligibility
Participation is limited to participants who satisfy the official eligibility requirements.
Only shortlisted/approved participants or teams may participate, if shortlisting is part of the official process.
Participants must provide accurate registration and team information.
Required platform accounts and access must be completed before the event begins.
2. Team Participation
Team participation will follow the official team-size rules.
Team members must be registered through the designated registration process.
Changes to team composition after the registration deadline will be permitted only according to the official event rules.
3. Project Development
Projects must address the official hackathon problem/challenge.
Participants may use only the software, simulators, cloud platforms, APIs and quantum-hardware resources permitted by the event organizers.
Participants are responsible for developing, testing and documenting their own submissions.
Any external libraries, datasets or resources must comply with the event's stated usage requirements.
4. Submission Requirements
Participants must submit all required deliverables before the announced deadline, which may include:
Source code
Project documentation
Project description
Demonstration/video, where required
Execution or testing evidence
Any additional files specified in the official submission format
Late submissions will be handled according to the published deadline and late-submission policy.
5. Originality & Academic Integrity
Submissions must be the participant's/team's original work or properly attributed work permitted under the event rules.
Plagiarism, unauthorized copying, impersonation, fraudulent submissions or deliberate misrepresentation may result in disqualification.
Organizers may request additional evidence to verify the originality or functioning of a submission.
6. Use of AI Tools
The use of AI-assisted development tools will be governed by the official event policy. Participants must follow any disclosure, attribution or usage restrictions specified by the organizers.
7. Technical Issues
Participants should complete the required technical setup before the development phase.
Platform or infrastructure issues should be reported through the official support channel.
Organizers may provide technical assistance for access or infrastructure problems but will not provide solutions to the challenge.
8. Judging
All eligible submissions will be evaluated according to the published judging rubric.
Judging criteria and tie-break rules will be communicated before submissions begin.
Judges' decisions will be handled according to the official event procedure.
9. Disqualification
A submission may be disqualified for:
Violation of published event rules
Ineligible participation
Plagiarism or unauthorized copying
Submission after the permitted deadline, where applicable
Manipulation of results or judging
Submission of prohibited or malicious content
Any other violation specified in the official rules
10. Final Decision
The organizers reserve the right to verify submissions, request clarification or supporting evidence, and finalize results after the judging and verification process.
