About the Opportunity:
Cliffesto ’26 Hackathon is a 12-hour offline web development hackathon where participants will work in teams to build a fully functional website based on a problem statement provided at the beginning of the event.
The hackathon provides participants with an opportunity to develop their web development, problem-solving, UI/UX, teamwork and presentation skills while working under a time-bound challenge.

Problem Statement:
The problem statement will be disclosed at the start of the hackathon.
Teams are required to develop a solution that follows the requirements and constraints specified in the problem statement.
Development Guidelines:
The final solution must be a fully functional website.
Teams may use programming languages, frameworks and tools of their choice, subject to the event rules and problem statement.
All development and presentation work must be completed within the 12-hour timeframe.
The submitted solution must be original and developed during the hackathon.
Submission Requirements:
Each team must submit:
Project code
Deployment link, if applicable
Final presentation
The project code must be uploaded to a GitHub repository, with access provided to the judging panel.
Teams qualifying through the Preliminary Round will present their solutions to the judges in their respective time slots on the following day.
Judging Criteria:
The submissions will be evaluated on the following parameters:
Functionality – 40% The website should be fully functional and aligned with the problem statement.
Innovation – 20%
Creative and unique approaches to solving the given problem.
UI/UX Design – 20% User-friendly and visually appealing interface.
Code Quality – 10% Clean, well-structured and documented code.
Presentation – 10% Clear and concise explanation of the proposed solution during the final presentation.
Rounds:
The hackathon will consist of two rounds:
Preliminary Round
Final Round
A maximum of 7 teams will qualify for the Final Round.
Important Rules:
Teams must arrive at the venue 30 minutes before the start of the hackathon.
The use of pre-built templates or code is strictly prohibited unless explicitly allowed by the organisers.
AI chatbots such as ChatGPT may be used only for assistance purposes.
Automated AI agents, autonomous systems, IDE-integrated AI chatbots, or applications/AI tools capable of generating complete code are restricted during the hackathon. Violation may result in disqualification.
Internet access will be provided at the venue.
Plagiarism, copying solutions from others, hacking or other unethical practices may result in immediate disqualification.
All submissions must be original and developed during the hackathon.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops, chargers and other necessary equipment.
Basic amenities, including Wi-Fi and power outlets, will be provided.
