Ideathon 2026 Ideathon 2026 is a prestigious national-level innovation challenge hackathon organized by the Department of Information Technology of Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan's College of Engineering and Visual Arts (VPPCOE, Sion). With the theme "Spark Before the Code", the event is focused on empowering the next generation of tech entrepreneurs and problem solvers across India. Purpose and Vision: Ignite creativity, entrepreneurial thinking, and innovation among engineering students. Bridge the gap between academia and industry by addressing real-world challenges with scalable technology solutions. Promote community impact and interdisciplinary collaboration. Who Can Participate: Open to all engineering students across India, regardless of specialization or year of study. Team size: 2 to 4 members. Registration and Submission Process: Register on Unstop. Submit a presentation (PPT) outlining an innovative solution to a domain-specific or local impact problem. Choose from a wide range of problem statements. Evaluation Criteria: Clarity of idea. Feasibility. Innovation. Societal impact. Technical approach. Offline Pitching Round: Top 25–30 teams will be shortlisted for an offline pitching round at the VPPCOE campus. Present solutions before startup founders, domain experts, and industry mentors. Five parallel judging panels will evaluate teams based on: Innovation. Societal relevance. Scalability.
