About the Hackathon: Pasumai Hackathon is a sustainability-focused innovation challenge conducted as part of Startup Summit 2.0 at SRM Institute of Science and Technology on 9th September 2026. The hackathon brings together students, innovators, and aspiring entrepreneurs to develop technology-driven solutions that address pressing environmental challenges and contribute to a sustainable future. Participants will ideate, prototype, and pitch innovative solutions across climate technology, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and clean energy, transforming impactful ideas into scalable startup concepts. Theme: Innovating for a Sustainable Tomorrow Tracks: Participants may develop solutions under any one of the following tracks: Climate Startups Build solutions that address climate change mitigation, carbon reduction, climate resilience, and adaptation for communities and industries. Sustainability Innovation Develop innovations in the circular economy, waste management, renewable resources, sustainable agriculture, water conservation, and eco-friendly products or services. AI for Green Tech Leverage Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to optimize energy usage, enable smart farming, monitor environmental conditions, predict climate risks, and support sustainable decision-making. Green Tech & Clean Energy Create solutions focused on renewable energy, energy efficiency, clean mobility, green infrastructure, and environmental monitoring technologies. Guidelines: Registration fee: ₹300 per team. Team size: 1–3 members. Teams may consist of members from multidisciplinary backgrounds. Participants may choose any one of the listed tracks. All submissions must be original. Plagiarism or previously developed projects may result in disqualification. Participants must adhere to the event schedule and instructions provided by the organizers. The decision of the judges and organizing committee will be final and binding. Schedule: Hackathon: 9th September 2026 The event will include idea presentations, prototype development, final demonstrations, evaluation, and the announcement of winners during the Valedictory & Award Ceremony.
