About the Challenge BASSHacks 2026 is the University of Melbourne Business Analytics Students Society’s flagship hackathon, bringing together students from business, technology, design, and analytics to solve real-world problems using data and AI. Over the course of the competition, participants will work in teams to design innovative solutions that transform data into actionable insights. Whether you are interested in finance, AI, marketing, social impact, automation, or smart cities, this hackathon is an opportunity to build something meaningful, practical, and impactful. No matter your experience level, BASSHacks is designed to be beginner-friendly while still challenging advanced participants. We encourage creativity, experimentation, and collaboration across disciplines.
