Whether you're an experienced developer or just beginning your AI journey, this hackathon is your opportunity to collaborate, innovate, and build a working solution using the AI tools of your choice. About the Hackathon Engage 6.0 brings together students, creativity, and cutting-edge AI tools for an intensive 4-hour vibe coding hackathon. Participants can leverage AI-powered coding assistants, generative AI platforms, and other development tools to transform a surprise problem statement into a functional project. The challenge? You won't know your problem statement until the event begins! With just four hours on the clock, teams must brainstorm, develop, test, and submit their solutions. Event Details Date: Wednesday, 28 October 2026 Venue: The NorthCap University, Sector 23A, Gurugram, Haryana Mode: Offline (On-Campus) Duration: 4 Hours Team Size: 2–4 Members Registration Deadline: 27 October 2026, 6:00 PM IST Total Prize Value: ₹1,55,000 Who Can Participate? Open to students interested in coding, artificial intelligence, technology, and innovation. Teams must consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 members. Individual participation is not permitted. No prior experience with AI development tools is required. Participants may use AI tools of their choice, subject to event rules and applicable usage terms. Registration Process Registrations must be completed through the official Engage 6.0 registration process. The team leader creates a team and completes the required details. Invite teammates using their email addresses. Ensure all team members complete the required registration steps. Follow the instructions provided by the organising team. Registration Deadline: 27 October 2026 at 6:00 PM IST. Important: Participants must complete the required official registration process to confirm their participation. Expressing interest alone does not guarantee a place in the hackathon. Hackathon Format & Stages Stage 1: Registration & Team Formation Register your team before the deadline. Each team must have 2–4 registered participants. Stage 2: Surprise Challenge Reveal 28 October 2026 | NCU Campus At the beginning of the hackathon, InfraOne School of AI will reveal a surprise topic or project brief to each participating team. No problem statements will be disclosed beforehand. Stage 3: AI-Powered Development Sprint Duration: 4 Hours Teams will have four hours to design, develop, and test a working project based on their assigned challenge. Participants may use AI-powered development tools, coding assistants, and other permitted technologies. Stage 4: Project Submission Before the four-hour development window ends, teams must submit their GitHub repository link through the designated InfraOne submission portal. Repositories must be accessible to judges and include appropriate setup and review instructions. Stage 5: Top 10 Finalist Presentations The judging panel will evaluate the submissions and shortlist the Top 10 teams. Shortlisted teams will present their projects live in the NCU auditorium. Stage 6: Final Evaluation & Winners A joint judging panel consisting of 3 InfraOne judges and 2 NCU faculty members will evaluate the finalist presentations and select the Top 3 winning teams. The stated ₹1,55,000 prize value comprises ₹15,000 in cash prizes and four bootcamp enrolments valued at ₹1,40,000. Other benefits are additional. Rules & Guidelines Each team must have 2–4 registered members. All projects must be developed within the designated four-hour hackathon window. AI tools and coding assistants are permitted, subject to the event rules and the respective tools' usage terms. Submissions must represent original work, with appropriate attribution for third-party resources. Teams retain ownership of their projects. Repository submission is solely for evaluation purposes. GitHub repositories must be accessible to judges and include clear review instructions. Late, incomplete, or inaccessible submissions will be handled according to the official event rules. All participants must comply with NCU campus policies and the jointly approved hackathon rules. Judging criteria, presentation duration, and tie-breaking procedures will be communicated before the event. Decisions will be made according to the published judging process.
