About the Hackathon
Ecclesia 2026 Hackathon is a technology and innovation competition that challenges undergraduate students to identify real-world problems and develop innovative, practical, and technology-driven solutions. The event focuses on problem-solving, technical implementation, creativity, teamwork, and real-world impact.
Eligibility and Team Formation
The competition is open to all undergraduate students.
Each team must consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 members.
Students from different colleges and universities may participate in the same team.
Students from different specialisations, branches, or academic disciplines may form a team.
All team members must be registered on the official Unstop event page.
Teams must provide accurate participant information and participate with their registered members.
Hackathon Format
The competition will be conducted in three rounds.
Round 1: Online Screening
Format: Online
Teams must register through Unstop before the registration deadline.
Registered teams will receive the designated problem statement according to the organisers' instructions.
Each team must analyse the problem and develop a proposed solution.
Teams must prepare and submit a PowerPoint presentation explaining their proposed solution.
The screening committee will evaluate submissions and shortlist teams for the offline round.
PPT evaluation criteria:
Problem understanding – 15%
Proposed solution – 25%
Innovation and uniqueness – 20%
Technical feasibility – 15%
Impact and scalability – 10%
PPT quality and communication – 10%
Overall vision – 5%
Only shortlisted teams will be invited to the next round.
Round 2: Offline Development Challenge
Venue: Assam Down Town University, Guwahati, AssamDevelopment duration: 10 hours, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Shortlisted teams will develop their proposed solutions into functional prototypes or Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
Teams must maintain a GitHub repository to demonstrate their development progress.
Mandatory GitHub checkpoints:
12:00 PM – First checkpoint
4:00 PM – Second checkpoint
6:00 PM – Final commit and project submission
Teams should focus on functionality, technical implementation, innovation, reliability, user experience, and real-world applicability.
Round 3: Final Presentation and Judging
Venue: Assam Down Town University, Guwahati, Assam.
Teams will present and demonstrate their developed solutions before the judging panel.
Presentation and live demonstration: 10 minutes
Judges' questions and answers: 5 minutes
Teams must be prepared to explain their problem statement, proposed solution, innovation, technical implementation, working prototype, impact, scalability, and future scope.

Problem understanding – 10%

Rules and Regulations
All teams must complete registration through Unstop.
Teams must comply with the specified team size of 2–4 members.
Participants must submit their PPT and other required materials within the announced deadlines.
Shortlisting in Round 1 is mandatory for participation in the offline development round.
Teams must maintain an accessible GitHub repository and submit progress at the specified checkpoints.
Plagiarism, copying another team's solution, unauthorised code use, falsifying GitHub history, or misrepresenting pre-existing work may lead to disqualification.
Standard open-source libraries, frameworks, APIs, and development tools may be used subject to their applicable licences and the organisers' rules.
AI-assisted development tools may be permitted, but participants must understand and be able to explain their submitted work.
Teams must respect fellow participants, judges, mentors, organisers, and university staff and follow the university's code of conduct.
Teams must comply with all instructions issued by the organising committee.
Accommodation will not be provided by the organisers. Participants must arrange their own accommodation if required.
Prize money will be announced later through official event channels.
The decisions of the organising committee and judging panel will be final.
