About the Hackathon: The Great Agent Hackathon is a two-stage hackathon focused on building AI agents for the enterprise. It is presented by Women in Product India, powered by Freshworks, with ElevenLabs powering the build. Stage 2 takes place in person in Bangalore as part of The Great Product Festival (TGPF 2026). Eligibility: Open to individuals above the legal age of majority in their country of residence. Participants from all countries and territories are eligible, excluding standard export/sanctions exceptions. Teams must consist of exactly 2 members. Solo participation and teams larger than 2 are not permitted. Inter-College / Inter-Organization Teams: Team members may come from different colleges, universities, or organizations. There is no requirement for both members to be from the same institution or company. Inter-Specialization Teams: Team members may come from different specializations or backgrounds, for example, one member from product or design and one from engineering. Cross-functional teams are welcome, though not mandatory. Format: The hackathon runs in two stages: Stage 1: Online Qualification Round Teams submit a Figma prototype or working demo addressing one of four problem statement tracks: Tech in Product, Growth and Monetisation, Sponsor-Driven Challenge, or Open Track. Submissions also require a short written description, a 1–2 minute video walkthrough, and team details. Stage 2: In-Person Build (Bangalore, Shortlisted Teams Only) Shortlisted teams travel to Bangalore for a 24-hour, overnight, in-person build, culminating in a live Main Stage demo at TGPF 2026 in front of judges and the wider conference audience. Travel and accommodation for shortlisted teams are self-funded. Number of Problem Statements: Four problem statement tracks are available: Tech in Product Growth and Monetisation Sponsor-Driven Challenge Open Track Teams choose one track to address. Duration: Stage 1 (online submission window): Opens July 23, 2026, and closes August 25, 2026, at 11:45 PM IST. Stage 2 (in-person build): A continuous 24-hour build window during TGPF, 25–26 September 2026, in Bangalore. Rules: All work submitted must be original and created for this hackathon. Use of open-source libraries, APIs, and existing frameworks is permitted, but the core product must be built during the hackathon timeline. Teams must consist of exactly 2 members. Team composition cannot be changed after the Stage 1 submission without prior approval from the organizers. Stage 1 submissions must be made on Devpost before the stated deadline. Late submissions will not be considered. Only teams shortlisted after Stage 1 will be invited to participate in the in-person Stage 2 build in Bangalore. Shortlisting decisions made by the TGPF and sponsor review team are final. Shortlisted teams are responsible for arranging and covering their own travel and accommodation to Bangalore. Remote participation is not permitted for Stage 2. All participants are expected to follow the hackathon's Code of Conduct. Harassment or disrespectful behavior of any kind toward participants, mentors, volunteers, or staff will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification. Final submissions at Stage 2 must include a working prototype, an updated project description, a public code repository link, and a live demo on the Main Stage. Judging decisions are final and are based on the published judging criteria: innovation and originality, technical execution, use of AI/agentic design, relevance to the problem statement, presentation quality, and potential impact. Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any team found violating these rules or engaging in unethical conduct, including plagiarism or misrepresentation of work.
