Build in AI for India is a nationwide online AI hackathon bringing together students, developers, founders, researchers, and builders to create AI-powered solutions for real-world challenges across India. Participants are encouraged to build products that can create meaningful impact in sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, governance, MSMEs, financial inclusion, regional languages, accessibility, and developer tools. Eligibility: Open to students, developers, startup founders, working professionals, and AI enthusiasts. Individual and team participation allowed. Participants must be at least 16 years old. Teams can consist of up to 4 members. Hackathon Format: Fully 7 days online event. Participants can build any AI-powered product, tool, agent, workflow, or application that solves a meaningful problem for India. No fixed problem statement; usefulness and impact are the primary focus. Builders will have access to mentor sessions, founder talks, workshops, and partner resources throughout the event. Tracks: Participants may build under (but are not limited to) the following themes: AI Agents Voice AI Indic & Regional Language AI Healthcare Agriculture MSME Automation Education Government & Public Services Financial Inclusion Developer Tools Submission Requirements: Teams must submit: Project demo video Live product link or GitHub repository Problem statement and solution overview Presentation/Pitch Deck Details of AI models, APIs, or tools used Judging Criteria: Projects will be evaluated on: Usefulness & Impact for India (40%) Execution & Working MVP (30%) Innovation (20%) Demo & Communication (10%) What Participants Receive: Mentorship from AI founders, operators, and industry experts. Technical workshops and product sessions. Access to partner API credits, cloud credits, and developer tools. Networking opportunities with startups, investors, and hiring partners. Internship, incubation, and collaboration opportunities for top teams.
